I'm visiting from Perth in Western Australia and we stumbled across this restaurant today.I would absolutely 100% recommend this to everyone!The food was delicious, even my very picky dad enjoyed everything.The staff were all very lovely.I'll definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.

My friend and I had lunch in here on 11 December. It was not too busy. We only had a main course, one vegetarian pizza and a pasta meal. The bill arrived and we asked if we could pay separately. We halved the bill, paid and left. Later we noticed that we had both paid £24.50 for food and drink and we both had £5.35 taken for a tip. £10.70 tip is a rip-off for one dish each and one drink. We had no idea we had paid this and wasn't asked about giving a tip. Will not be returning!!! Beware when paying.

I hadn't been there since 1993, so on a recent visit, I went there with the family to see if it was still as good as it used to be. It didn't disappoint! Beautiful food and genuinely friendly people. You just need to go there and try it for yourselves. I only wish there were more than five stars to award it.

If you look at my other reviews of places I don’t leave bad reviews. The food was okay but nothing amazing we had a pepperoni pizza and creamy mushroom pasta. The seating felt you was rushed and rammed in like you was sat on top of each other and wasn’t allowed any longer than an hour slot. We called 20mins before our reservation due to is struggling to find parking to let them know we might be 5 minutes later but we arrived on time. But while on the phone we was greeted rudely and advised that if we was a few minutes late they would not hold our reservation. We felt as if they felt they was going to kick us out around 16:45 which they did want us out at five bear in mind our reservation was at four and that’s when we arrived. When arrived we was not acknowledged by any staff that was in the reception area and they was not busy they was just looking at us for 10 minutes and was finally acknowledged and asked to sit at a table which then they moved us from to another table and but the waitress we had was lovely apart from the male waiter who didn’t talk to us or anyone. If you don’t have a booking which we luckily did he was extremely rude to them people. They also over charged for the tip and they made us pay a tip of £10 when the meal was only £50 they put it on and didn’t ask which I think is unacceptable.

Great little restaurant in York. Service was fantastic and the food was served hot and it was delicious. The king prawns starter was the highlight for me, just brilliant; fresh, plump and juicy king prawns served with a lightly toasted slice of fresh bread. I would definitely revisit.

We could smell this amazing food down the street while looking for a place for a quick dinner. This place was fantastic, the food was so delicious and the staff were very friendly. They especially were really good with our 11 month old who was fairly tired and grumpy who had an amazing time in the restaurant. Highly recommend going.

Nice little Italian restaurant, food is great and the atmosphere is friendly.Only down side for me was the almost forced 10% tip, which is already added on to the bill and the waitress asks if you would like it taken off, which would be a bit embarrassing! The staff deserved a tip, but it should be at my disgression.

Please, please, go here if you can. The food is divine. It comes to the table hot. The prices are excellent. Portions are not small. So make sure you've built up an appetite. You will not regret it. Wonderful.We hadn't booked but the manager managed to get us in. All good. In fact, I couldn't eat all mine.
