Fantastic open space, doggie emporium, good for mountain biking, horses. Can be noisy through the Airport but equally, good place to see some planes from.So glad the land enclosure act 1773 by our very own mad king George 3rd didn't see it fenced off. A haven I would have thought for furry friends, insects and other reptiles.Ancient Hill fort, rurally connects to Blagdon Lake/Butcombe, love the place.

Lovely common. Shame people with dogs don't always pick up their mess. Not very considerate for kids and anyone who wants to enjoy the grass.

Nice are for either a stroll or walking the dog, great area for plane spotting (right next to the runway). Easy to get lost so remember the turns you take in the bracken. Have been a few times and will visit again when in the area :)

The dog loves it here, it's wild and windswept and every now and then you get an aeroplane roar overhead. This is a gorse common so proper footwear is advisable, it's also a prime dog walking place so kids need to be aware they don't step in dog mess. I park at the end of Felton St but you can also park by the church.

(Cue drum'n'bass intro) VISIT THE COMMON!! BECAUSE ITS MASSIVE!!MASSIVE!! No seriously, the place is huge! My dog loves it because he can run as much as he wants, in any direction. Better still, I have direct line of sight with him at most times. Towards the east, as it moves away from the A38 there's trees and barrows, so still plenty for him to sniff around and keep himself entertained. It's also right next door to Bristol Airport so it can get a bit noisy when the planes are landing or taking off, but if you're I to plane spotting this is the place for you. I just like to look at them, wondering where people are going, what adventures or events they will experience when they reach their destination. Is travelling a choice they made? Or is it circumstances forcing the purchase of a ticket? So many questions......Great place to smoke a phat one tooPeace out

Excellent dogwalk, watch the planes. Nice views, just minutes from the city boundary. Airport tavern, Wagon and Horses, and Fox and Goose handy for refreshments.

Large open historic common adjacent to Bristol airport. Plenty of opportunity to walk and take in the lovely rural views and ideal for aeroplane watchers too.Good place to ride your horse too; you do have a horse, don't you? Space for a canter and a flat, ideal for schooling too- you can pretend you are about to play polo, if you like...

An excellent public common with short grass. plenty of walking and at the perimeter you can have an excellent view of the airport. Super place to stop and walk if you are too early to go intoBristol airport.we use the free waiting area (for 1 hour free parking) next to the car rental area.

Plenty of places to park. Good place to photograph the planes coming in to land at Bristol Airport.
