They don't deserve any star. I am a Mental Health Nurse working in a Mental Health Rehab, requiring vital information about a patient in my care who was discharged a few hours earlier from A&E. I called 3 times the switchboard and I was passed to the A&E department which passed me to the nurse in charge who never answered and I was cut off. The third time I was cut off I was complaining to the receptionist at the A&E department, trying to explain the seriousness of the situation and that I wanted to talk to somebody else to complain. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and she hanged on me. I understand you are busy, but please keep some professionalism and decency. Please Hospital Managers, some training is desperately needed.

Been today and carl down in minor injuries was amazing and so friendly. Really helped to put me at ease. Thanks to all the staff. In and out with xrays in 3 hours.

DANGEROUS! SCARY!I'm familiar with adult A&E and they missed a ticking time bomb over 7 years of visits with us. Even Warrington cardiologists were as poor (letters no meeting). LHCH operated to prevent death. We've been and been amazed by the enthusiasm and friendliness of staff but we struggled on recent visit. Staff shouting at patients without a please or thank you. Elderly watched push their spouse towards triage or waiting room victims having to unite to rescue an unsteady lady or medical emergency where staff were clearly stretched. A&E Drs are like Jekyll and Hyde, receptionists too. You either get empathetic and knowledgeable via compassion or deliberate apathetic people treating everyone as an NHS number. The communication in that department is dangerous. We got to know entire waiting room and we all had experienced huge lapses in communication amongst all levels of staffing. Some extremely dangerous. Witnessed one girl encouraged home with a blue bust hand and a young lad belittled loud and clear by a Dr/male nurse for all to see. After recent visits and seeing the good staff try make excuses for their dangerously placed colleagues, who caused more risk than help, like others on a certain day we may approach some form of complaints or feedback. We overheard police there discussing the unreliability of staff - e.g. who were you gonna get next, someone who really is their for the job or the vocation. They nailed it!The word please and thanks from all staff, would be a start. I can't see them recovering from the disasters we witnessed on recent visits. That is embedded into their setup. The place was filthy. One night we spent 12hrs there with bloodstained swabs on ground, bathroom filthy (very) and elderly alone waiting not offered drink etc!Strongly recommend elsewhere.

Currently sitting in A&E ... Just ticked over hour number 12 of waiting! And a hospital full of people for the same duration. No one seems to be moving or being seen to.There has been no communication, no interaction, no compassion. My partner is in absolute agony, and has had to ask for pain relief 4 times before they actually supplied any (7 hours since arrival). There is no way anyone can stand up and say the NHS is working. It's crippled, and it's killing people.A&E management should be absolutely ashamed.

Very poor service Saturday evening. No doctor on minors. On arrival at 2230 and got told the wait was 4:30. At 01:15 this had increased to 7:00 hours. No wonder they can’t offload the ambulances if they don’t treat the patients that are there! Disgusting. Staff were always pleasant though.

Got into the A&E as my partner had an issue bad enough that a family member who is in the sector told us to go. Once we arrived we had to wait for ten minutes at reception while a man behind the desk who was playing on his phone told us to wait for him to finish. Then a woman behind the desk told us that they can’t help us unless my partners airways were obstructed and he was struggling to breathe. While we waited we heard a man complaining to the desk that his wife who had cancer had been stuck in the waiting area for over six hours being told a nurse was coming each time she complained of pain, but no nurse ever came.We ended up having to drive to manchester as the receptionist told us they couldn’t help. The emergency care in manchester took us in immediately as priority and treated it as a time-sensitive emergency.

“Warrington A&E” 29th July 2023.16 hour wait to see the doctor,A&E dirty and needs a good deep clean, it's appalling, Staff smoking by the main door in uniform was disgusting. Cigarette butts all over the place by main doors were mainly patients stand.Reception staff sat on work computer looking at Holiday homes abroad in full view of us the patient, not very professional at all. Staff in light blue uniform chewing gum when shouting patients in which looks so unprofessional. The older lady on the reception desk (with small round glasses) seems to think she's medical trained and is far to nosie and pushy with patients. It was a bad experience indeed and I did not feel in capable hands. An elderly person left sat in a wheelchair for 13 hours waiting to be seen (Heaven knows what her pressure areas are like) another elderly couple sat 14 hours in tears as he was unwell but both so tired, it was cruel to see this taking place!!A&E was packed with no seats for anyone to even sit down, people sat on the dirty floors. This A&E needs investigation as its clearly failing the public. I waited from 22.00-11.00 horrendous!!!!!!!!A&E management need to pull their finger out and maybe work a weekend themselves and get things in order, their staff are clearly struggling, it starts at the top!!!!!!

The A&E triage nurse kelly last night was amazing great personality and great nurse. Made me feel comfortable and knew exactly what she was doing. Also Kim who was on after her was lovely. 5 stars for them two nurses. Sorry to say but the night reception was shocking. The lady with long hair had a bad attitude with me and some poor foreign guy. I felt sorry for him luckily he had us to help him. The place was very busy. Obviously needed more doctors. They had enough nurses. The doctor i seen was great but shame about the 12 hour wait. This hospital is a great hospital but I personally feel the problem is they have less doctors on the weekend.I was happy with my service but not the wiring time or receptionist

Got to be one of the worst A&E departments in the country, staff absolutely ran off their feet due to the lack of investment in the nhs from the tory scum. Walked out in the end due to the pathetic waiting times of 12 hours plus, feel sorry for the staff no wonder they are legging it as far away from the NHS as they can.
