Prestige Student Living The Residence

Nice, spacious rooms and building is in a nice quiet area. The balcony in my room helps me enjoy fresh air without going outside. The friendly, easy-going staff help with bringing up parcels and have kept residents engaged during the pandemic with fun online activities where prizes are won. Highly recommend. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!I needed somewhere to stay during this pandemic so I could isolate myself from my elderly and continue to go to work. I booked the apartment through booking.com as a secret deal" I can see why they wanted to keep it secret.The pictures advertised on booking.com show a nice modern building

THE RESIDENCE! Remember this name as this is best student accommodation in Coventry! Prices are excellent, I have stayed for 9 months and honestly I am so happy I found this place. I will start from getting the keys at the reception and helped me to my flat. I felt special from the beginning to the end. Beautiful lobby with coffee and tea machine and so many different cultural day celebrations – common area with TV AND CINEMA ROOM WITH KARAOKE- surly can make you feel like you home.The flat was lovely, spacious, had closet space, dining table, study table. Reception was very helpful with all the problems and issues I had during the 9 months. Overall I had best stay ever in Coventry !!! and definitely will recommend this placebto everyone!!:) THANK YOU THE RESIDENCE!

My experience here has been very good the manager, staff and everyone has been very nice cooperative and helpful! I moved here in January 2020 when the building was newly constructed, the site seems to be a fine location for a student accommodation all studio rooms have a very good and modern interior design and are having your own TV, and there are plenty of drawers and cupboards for extra storage, social spaces include a small gym, cinema, a common space with a pool table and along small study place with an LCD for preparing your presentation, a communal kitchen and a gender neutral toilet. The laundry area is a bit small but since the building is small so not many students would need a big laundry area. Also on the other side of the building is the Canal Basin which is very good to go there for a walk and get fresh air with a very good site of the canal river.

I am staying here for almost 6 months. The Residence is high-standard new student accommodation. I will start from my room which is an Executive Studio. It has a very good size for one person and feels quite spacious. The layout of the room is smart enough that when you are sitting or cooking in the kitchen you can not see the bed, giving the feeling that you are in another space. One of the best things is that my room is towards the Coventry Canal and every morning I enjoy drinking my coffee looking at this view. The second best thing is the window which can open slightly or completely as you wish.The staff members here are very helpful and always try to make us feel at home. Emily at the reception is always available to help, funny, and resolves the issues that might have arisen quickly. During the pandemic, Emily and the other staff members who are responsible for the accommodation (the accommodation belongs to the Prestige Student Living) organized online activities and competitions to make us have fun and keep the residence engaged. Every day there is a caretaker, who keeps the building common areas clean and is always available to fix small problems in the rooms fast and reliable. Also, we have access to a gym, a cinema room, and a common area where we can play ping pong or pool. At the moment these areas are closed because of the pandemic.The city center is less than 10 minutes walk and a supermarket is only 5 minutes walk from the property.I highly recommend renting a room at The Residence. Very nice location with good-sized studios and rooms. The accommodation is not too big and this makes it attractive for Ph.D. students like me or for professionals to study or work in a quiet environment.

The flats themselves are well built and spacious. The staff is great and the facilities are decent. I never once had an issue with anything related to infrastructure.The location however is far from great. It’s outside the main city centre and while shops and restaurants are nearby, they need to be reached after crossing a bridge over the ring road—not a safe area after dark. The building’s security is also questionable. The building was broken into twice during my one year stay and while the apartments weren’t robbed, I believe the main reception area was.Overall, the flats are decent but if security is your biggest issue then perhaps it’s not the best place. But then again, safety is a problem throughout Coventry.

It is a great place to live and not too far from anything in Coventry and only a 20-25 minute bus ride to the University of Warwick. The rooms are super functional and have lots of storage. The manager and reception are super friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The rooms are good, but the quality of the residents is poor. There is often a lot of noise at night and it is impossible to have a good rest.

I have lived in the Residence for just under a year now, and have already booked to spend my second year here. I have very much enjoyed my tenancy so far, and would recommend this accommodation for any student moving to Coventry. Not only is my room spacious and very modern, but the other facilities within the building such as the Common room and Cinema room have made it very easy to socialise and make friends with other tenants, they also work as great places to invite friends back to either study or relax.

I’ve enjoyed my stay here and had absolutely no issues with my stay. Definitely recommend this place. Also I’d like to give special thanks to Lena tan for easing my process and helping me with everything in general.
