Parkes a J

Over the years I have taken many items to AJ Parkes. Most recently I took a gold antique brooch which I wanted to be turned into a ring so that I would get more wear out of it. Other jewellers had suggested the job impossible so I took a 50 mile round trip to take it to AJ Parkes and was well rewarded. They were able to do a magnificent job, retaining and yet strengthening the original setting. I'm always impressed by their great customer service and craftsmanship, it's another bonus that the workshop is on site, meaning the likelihood of prized jewellery going missing is slim to none!

Took my watch in for a battery replacement done in five minutes and only £5 where as another jewllers Hiltons were terrible customer service and more expensive. Highly recommend.

Yesterday morning my husband and I walked into the store to discuss with Tony a new diamond pendant that he was going to make for myself...when my husband picked me up from work at 5 p.m. that evening he presented me with a box...inside was my new diamond pendant.....so quick...so beautiful thats what you call serviceSupport your local shops!!!Thank you Tony

I took my engagement ring here to be fixed after catching it on the oven door. I wrongly assumed that because it say's bespoke and beautiful hand crafted jewellery that it would be a wonderful repair.I had to ask him to do it again as it was so rough! I am sure he must have sent it away in the end as it came back so much quicker than the first time he did it and a lot better job, although it's not perfect now I will one day get it sorted but I will never go here again, please do not trust him for repairs.I have given 1 star because he obviously paid someone else to do a better job in the end.

My watch display disappeared, and I went to Parkes to have a new battery fitted. Within 5 minutes (probably less) I was told that the battery in the watch was fully charged, and I did not need a new battery. Indeed, the display had recovered, and is still going strong. I offered to pay for their time, but was told that as there was no fault found, there would be No Charge". How refreshing to find such service. I will definitely use Parkes in future."
