Abbots Court Rural Retreat & Wedding Venue

We got married at Abbots Court in September 2023 and want to do it all over again!Cat was so helpful both the day before and on the wedding day setting everything up. We wouldn't have known where to start but she coordinated us all very well. Cat also kept our stress and nerves as low as she could on Wednesday which definitely got us through the ceremony!!The venue was absolutely stunning and the gardens were beautiful. You made it possible for us to have the relaxed and fun day we wanted. It was noted by guests that the wedding was different to any wedding they had been to before, but one of the best! It means so much to us that our friends and family had such an amazing time.Thanks to everyone at Abbots Court for everything!

We recently got married at Abbot’s Court and cannot believe how lucky we were to find such a spectacular venue! Driving towards Winterborne Kingston, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but coming through the gates it certainly has the wow factor! A beautiful house, nestled in the most magnificent, picturesque gardens provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding photographs. Not only is the outdoor space wonderful, but the hard work, time and creativity that has gone into turning the indoor areas into a space fit for a wedding is phenomenal. With a palate focused on neutral, natural simplicity, and open, light spaces throughout, it is the perfect space to be transformed to suit any wedding theme and made to feel your own, as it did for us.However, it is not just the venue itself which is amazing, and this review would not be complete without mentioning Cristina, the wedding co-ordinator for Abbots Court. Words cannot even describe what an asset she is to this venue. From the outset, she gave us complete confidence that our day would run without a hitch, and her passion and experience in the business was completely evident. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and on the day, if we needed anything she was the first to be on hand to relieve any stress, while also keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes so that we and our guests could purely focus on having fun and enjoying the day. We are both truly grateful that we met her, and (in the words of my husband) “she was just awesome!”Overall, we had the perfect wedding day, with the perfect, intimate venue to help us celebrate with our most beloved family and friends. Amazing wedding venue and I've seen a few as a photographer! I knew Cat the coordinator from a previous venue and she has bought her own sense of relaxed control with her. The team work tirelesly behind the scenes without the couple ever seeing it, as it should be. The venue itself is an amazing secluded place that you'd never knew existed. Nestled in the Dorset contryside behine a farm the views are outstanding and the house grounds are manicured perfectly. I hope to visit many times in the future.

A truly wonderful retreat, set in gorgeous countryside. The decor of the house is tasteful and calming. Lots of different spaces for people to enjoy - great kitchen, dinning room and lounge for larger groups & snug bar for hiding away in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Christina and the team were very welcoming and helpful. I Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The most stunning venue for our wedding. Abbots court completely exceeded our expectations. Our wedding coordinator Cat and her team were amazing from start to finish, nothing was to much of an ask. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful, which all of our guests commented on. Just wow! Thank you so much to everyone at abbots court for making our special day so special.

I wish I could add more stars! We got married at Abbots Court in May 2023 and I can't recommend it enough as a wedding venue. The house and grounds are absolutely breath-taking in the middle of the countryside and are maintained to the highest standard. We loved that there were so many options from the Victorian Barn for the ceremony, to the gardens for reception drinks to the pavilion for dinner and party and then the house (and the glamping pods!) for the after party.Having our family and friends stay in the house the night before with its huge kitchen, dining room and hot tub and then also in the glamping style pods on the night was amazing and kept the party going in the house bar! Having so many options allowed several people to stay on site which allowed the wedding to go on all weekend.One of the highlights of our wedding was the organisation in the run up to and on the day. This is all down to Cat and her amazing team who expertly put up with all my queries and worries and made everything run smoothly. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding dreams come true. A truly special venue and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you to everyone involved.

I photographed a wedding at Abbots Court back in October and was not disappointed. The grounds and buildings were looked after very well and all the guests were incredible happy . Everything went to time and the staff were friendly.

We booked Abbots Court after a chance viewing and what felt like fate with our dream date becoming free the coming year. We knew the venue suited our vision of the wedding day, but it was the way that the staff saw the whole wedding weekend that filled us with the confidence to book (even with a lot of the venue still CGI drawings!)We were not disappointed when it came to our last planning meeting and seeing everything in its full glory and on the day it was perfect. The ability to have friends stay the weekend with us, the informal but beautiful look and feel of Abbots Court and the amazing staff meant we truly had the best day of our lives. We were able to make a weekend of it by hosting a sports day at the venue the next day and everything was made so easy by Kat and the team.Set up was a breeze, we were given a whole day to prepare and that took the stress out of the big day, which isn’t always a luxury that venues give couples.We booked Abbots Court, Almer Manor and the Shepard’s huts on site - all provided incredible experiences for our guests and the feedback we have had from everyone that stayed has been amazing. The luxury and well thought out venues added to our wedding experience and guests were definitely keen to try and stay again in future!We want to say a massive thank you for everything you did to answer the questions (no matter how big or small) and for all the thought and advice that went into making our day truly about us, and not just a carbon copy or a template that couldn’t be veered from. We got married at Abbots Court last October and can’t recommend it enough! Great location, beautiful venue, gorgeous outside garden area, beautiful scenery and so calming & peaceful.It was definitely our dream venue and we loved being able to spend quality time over the whole weekend with our friends & family here.Cat & Christina were both amazing and so friendly & helpful the entire way through. They always put us at ease throughout and nothing was too much trouble.They always went out of their way to meet our every need and were on top of everything which really helped to make the day and weekend flow perfectly.It was just wonderful in every way.Thank you for our perfect day & for our memories we will cherish forever.Laura & Lawrence
