The Old Rectory Handsworth

We had the most perfect wedding day at The Old Rectory. Our original venue cancelled on us with less than 6 months to the wedding and I am now glad they did as Dharby at the Old Rectory was so helpful and paid such attention to detail that our wedding was even better than we expected. The venue is gorgeous and looked even more stunning in the sun. All the staff were very attentive and friendly and we just had the best day from start to finish. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced wedding venue in a private and scenic setting which can hold a large wedding party then The Old Rectory is perfect. Thank you so much for making our wedding day so memorable for all the right reasons!

Great venue for our businesses family fun day

Attended a baby shower here and whilst the room we were in was lovely, the afternoon tea was absolutely not worth the £400 for room hire and food for twenty people, that was paid. It consisted of the equivalent of a scone each and a tiny sandwich from each of the three varieties (so the equivalent of two slices of brown bread). Tea and coffee was brought around twice, but the equivalent of £20 a head for us all to be still hungry was outrageous.I attended a wedding at the Old Rectory in 2022 and the quality and amount of food served at the evening reception was equally as disappointing. There was a forty-minute queue for the bar because they only had two staff members on for a wedding attended by 140 people. I'd hoped it was teething problems given that the new company had recently taken over, but the grossly overpriced 'afternoon tea' we had at the recent baby shower, suggests that it's still not a venue that's value for money.

Excellent venue, beautiful gardens for your photos, room good size for 50/60people. Food very good, highly recommended.

Excellent choice of paints and good customer service

We had an amazing time last night celebrating our families being together: 85 people including children attended a family party at this beautiful venue. Tim and Amanda were fantastic and provided excellent customer service from the initial booking right through to the end of the party. Even though I was using my own caterers, venue decorator and DJ they supported me all the way. Their helpful suggestions about the layout of the room, seating arrangements and serving of the Caribbean buffet proved to be valuable on the night of the party.On the night of the party whilst the staff were in attendance, we hardly noticed them and when we did they were always attentive and courteous. Work with the staff and they will work with you. I would definitely recommend this venue and I will definitely be using this venue again.

Perfect venue to celebrate with work colleagues. Bbq was lovely, plenty of food and drinks flowing. Great evening
