There is something horrible happened to this place. I used to get many deliveries from them. What I experienced today 29th July 2023 was a joke! I ordered a large F&C for £13 and they didn’t deliver any more but only offer pick up. The guy in the counter was very rude and only asked for payment and gave me the order in this wrapped paper, without a bag or a box. I also saw a guy coming inside the kitchen from the back door where they prepare the food without any hygiene followed. By the time I went home the oil from this paper already stained my car seats. The chips was very soggy, old, tasteless, and crushed with the fish, which was very oily and tasteless as well. I binned all this right after. Shame!!

I Ordered 2 large kebabs and chips from the young lad behind the counter and asked for salad on both, but when I got them home they had pretty much no salad on them and they were not large, only salad we got was about a T-spoon of chopped onion and cucumber, no tomato and for some odd reason one kebab had no lettuce at all and the other one had 1 piece of lettuce the size of my little finger! Now Im not sure if Maidenhead has some sort of salad shortage or maybe they are cutting back by serving small kebabs as large and then scrimping on the salad but it's not the first time this has happened. They have increased the prices recently which is fine but don't then reduce the size and quality of the food as well just to save a few pence!! ! Anyway luckily I had salad in the fridge so I chopped my own but if it keeps happening I will just go elsewhere.

I tend to stay away (as much as possible) from deep fried food, especially buttered fish. Saying that, I visited this place twice in a month. I found that they are careful on how much butter they apply to their fish. This is also down to the client, as the fish is prepared right there and then, you can ask specifically what you want! They don't fry and stock on the hotplate like many other do, but instead make to order. Parking, although limited, I have never had problems with. Not really a 'dine in' place, but rather take away. Staff there seem very friendly.

fish and chips that takes card payments. been coming here for years and it never disappoints! Always hot , tasty unbelievable good. the atmosphere was Brilliant. honestly come here if u want fish and chips

Awesome little shop, great fish and chips, good quality and price ratio. Just stopped off the motorway on way home and what a lovely meal it was! Highly recommended!

I was on my way to london and needed some decent food before a night out, so google led me to Ross Fish bar. And i was not disappointed. Great Fish and Chips, friendly service. Chips were great, fish was great, mushy peas were great. Highly recommended, i will definately come again. Thanks guys
