A great place to buy good quality wool and needles. It is the only shop that I know where I can buy Regia sock wool - which knits into beautiful multi-coloured, machine-washable socks. The owner is very helpful if you need advice. There is a good website for online orders if you're not local to Bristol.

Great online shop, lots of beautiful knitting notions and yarns. I accidentally selected the wrong postage option and Meg was super helpful in letting me correct it. My order arrived quickly in beautiful plastic free packaging with a lovely thank you note.

Best knitting shop in Bristol. The people are lovely and they have their own, home made stuff to sell like emergency crochet hooks and it's lovely. Very original.

NFK is a beautiful, welcoming shop. Meg is so knowledgable about her products and helpful with suggestions and ideas for projects. Bought some beautiful yarn I’ve found very hard to get hold of in the UK. She also has lots of swatches and samples made up so you can see what things look like. Will be back, thank you so much!

I almost didn’t make it here - and that would have been a shame. Such a great yarn store - well-stocked in yarn and supplies (some local and regional yarn). Welcoming and helpful staff (and a great recommendation to check out The Bristol Loaf). If I lived locally, I’d be a frequent shopper. Thanks for the holiday treasures and great convo!

No Frills Knitting has been a great find. Beautiful yarn and it’s packaged so well. Nice little boxes and no SBP! Meg doesn’t stock nasty acrylic yarns and clearly cares about the products. Super helpful and knowledgeable. It’s great to support this small business.

This shop is everything a knitter ever wished for! Meg has a lot of knitting experience and helped me so much with my knitting projects. Always has good advice on wool and patterns. She turned me into a knitter ;) and thanks to her advice I never ran out of wool in my projects (always buy that extra ball of wool! It'll save your project).

Every product I’ve bought from No Frills Knitting has been of amazing quality, even those advertised as factory seconds, I couldn’t really fault them. I love that packaging is minimal and plastic free as much as possible. Plus Meg provides awesome customer service if you have any doubts about any of the products. I know that Meg hand picks everything sold at No Frills Knitting so I’m looking forward to trying out the new yarns as well.
