Blackwater Car Park

It’s the New Forest, what is there not to love.Be mindful this car park can get quite full but, there are plenty of places within New Forest to park and enjoy the beautiful woodland.No fee is applied to park but, they do ask for a donation if you are able to.

Great car park for either the fall tree trail or the arboretum. There were toilets which were clean, an ice cream van and plenty of places to sit. There were also wild ponies roaming about, we parked here and did the tall tree trail and visited the giant sequoias. We spent a lovely couple of hours here and would happily visit again.

This car park is pretty central for any one who wants to enjoy the forest. It’s at the start of some lovely walks. There are adequate seating and table areas. There are restrooms but when we visited they were quite dirty and stinky. Having visited a n the Easter holidays there where a lot of cars waiting to occupy the limited parking slots. The waiting was justified by the sole set of the area. On the day there was an ice-cream van.

OK - So I did visit on a BH Sunday which a bit of a stupidity on my part....But the car park was RAMMED, like - Overflowing. There's literally a sign saying if this car park is full

One of the most popular car parks in the new forest. Rhinefield ornamental drive provides a lovely place to walk . Also a good place to start for longer walks , hikes , mountain/ gravel bike rides , dog walking . Or just chill out with family. Many picnic benches scattered around . Also one of the few carparks with toilet facilities.

Excellent free car park with toilets and ice-cream van. So many beautiful walks around it too. Easy to find and park too.

One of our favourite spots in the forest, possibly a tad touristy now but the trees are still magnificent. It was sad to see the dry spell had dried up the small river, but the rope wing was still there, just without the water.This is one of the few forest car parks with toilet facilities, there is often an ice cream van parked up during the warmer months.

Beautiful scenery huge trees, labeled walks, but car parking much too small in busy periods. most of new forest is bland so the few nice locations get swamped and are ruined due to restrictive parking. The forestry rules also hinder enjoyment, no overnight stay no camping no fires, I remember when you could drive car into forest and really enjoy the nature, but I guess our population has gotten too big for that now. Best time to visit is off season, also beware of car thieves they will smash your windows to take possessions and police will not be interested, twice happened to me, no tea vending vans here just an expensive ice cream van in summer. Better take a picnic with you, don't take nice car or leave valuables on show, you can see snakes, lizards, bugs, and dear if you know how to find, drone pilots will find the house hotel on this road has interesting gardens. As always leave no rubbish and don't feed animals

A fairytale-like part of The New Forest. Let me tell you something; come here when there's a guarantee of sunshine and blue skies and trust me, it's an experience you'll never ever forget. The trees are magnificent in all their glory and though the walk is short, you'll be stopping to admire the sheer breadth of the conifers around you. A treasure of within the beautiful British Isles, that's for sure.

The car had bays to park in. There were also toilet facilities. Walked around the Arboretum. The trees are so impressive.
