Giggling Squid - West Bridgford
A wonderful addition to the Thai restaurant scene in Nottingham.Went here for a birthday meal out and had a great time.The staff (Nicole was our waitress) were attentive, friendly and gave us recommendations on dishes which we ordered and thoroughly enjoyed.The food came out in good time, was piping hot, tasted great with good spice levels.Thoroughly enjoyed out meal and will definitely be paying a further visit.The bill was very reasonable too for what we ordered.

We attended on a quiet Monday evening and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. The staff were all very friendly and bubbly. Answered all the questions and helped us with some recommendations.The food was great. Started with the one bite salmon and curried balls. Both fantastic. The mains were great as well.

This is my second review - the original one is missing. Simply the best Thai option available in Nottingham. Great interiors, superb service and yet inclusive, doesn't feel upmarket.

I did mean to write this a month and a half ago. Sorry for the delay. I needed to say what a lovely meal I had for my birthday. The atmosphere was great. Food was superb. Lovely! And they heard it was my birthday so brought out a board with Happy Birthday on and some complimentary ice cream. Great touch!

I was looking forward to this one - having been to and enjoyed the Giggling Squid in Leicester. Table for 4 this time and it was … disappointing. I ordered the Royal SquidLamb Massaman Curry, Yummy Duck Spring Rolls, Samui Zingy Prawns, Jasmine Rice. For £14.95 I got exactly 3 thumbnail pieces of lamb and 3 half potatoes which were on the cusp of being crunchy. My husband’s were not edible. They didn’t have pork dumplings or Rainbow Moo Dang. Dang unlucky. We asked for fresh chilli and it was forgotten. We had to ask again.For £110 for 4 people, it’s infuriating that the food was not generous like true Thai food is. I won’t be returning.

Visited for the first time this weekend for our anniversary meal and will definitely be returning! Our server Alex was very helpful, the restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food was amazing!

Giggling Squid - West Bridgford
I don’t really eat this type of food but came to try it! Anyway, brilliant and quick service; friendly staff. I had the Thai beef strips dish - beef was excellent quality like you would find in a butchers. Meal tasted great - presentation was good for both courses. Tried a Chang beer for the first time - not bad. Just think it’s a tad expensive though - especially for the dessert.Overall, tasty food but way too much money you have to pay for the portion sizes.
