I cannot recommend Elliott Wilson enough if you need help transferring your defined benefit pensions into a flexible drawdown scheme. These are notoriously difficult to do given the 'don't do it' default position of the FCA and can take a long time due to the level of enquiries the pension administrators are dealing with. I engaged Elliott following 10 months of getting nowhere with a well known national firm and he has been a 'breath of fresh air'. He is extremely thorough exploring all avenues and options fully whilst being respectful of my own situation and objectives, including what was becoming a tight timescale. Within 5 weeks (notwithstanding an intervening overseas holiday) he produced a 249 page report with clear recommendations and supporting rationale for them. The SIPP was set up electronically within days to receive the pension fund and I know he will be chasing the pension administrator daily to effect the transfer. By completing most of the paperwork himself and taking ownership he has been very easy to deal with. He has kept me regularly updated throughout the process and acted with the utmost professionalism.
