Went into this branch today with the correct documents to open an account. I was told the documents I had where incorrect, I rang Dana who works for Halifax customer service she advised my documents where correct and I had indeed been mislead by the branch. They don’t know what they talking about here AVOID. Drove 10 min up the road to Newcastle branch and they opened my acc within 5min no question asked.

Brilliant staff but crazy hours of service.Closed on Saturday close at 3pm in the week how are people who are working going to get to the bank . Just a minute is this Halifax trying to get everyone to go on line I ask myself ?

Rang the branch in Longton after hours to make a query about an account, expecting to get an answer phone on which to leave a message so someone could call me back in the morning. Imagine my pleasant surprise then to hear a female voice answer the call and deal with my query.Above and beyond the call of duty. 10 out of 10 for customer service.

I have been a customer of the Halifax for many years and use the Longton branch regularly. The staff have always been courteous and helpful even when the place has been very busy with customers. Since the Covid outbreak the staff have maintained the branch and all credit to them. I wish them all well and hope this branch remains.

Closed at 3pm what's that all about ? What about us workers that don't finish until 4pm? I can't just say to my place of work hang on a min I need some time off work so I can go the halifax. He certainly would tell me get lost.. explanation would be nice
