Absolutely disgusting organisation. I called Welwyn Hatfield Council in the afternoon to report a fault with the boiler and no heating and hot water. They said they would send an engineer, I said can you please tell the engineer I have to collect my son at 5.30pm so to avoid that time. I’m a single mother and have no one else to collect him. Of course that’s when the engineer decides to turn up. He called my mobile and I said I was stuck in traffic, he was unbelievably rude and said well you’re going to have to just call the office again tomorrow. I said I have severe asthma and can’t be left with no heating all night.I then called the emergency line, to be on hold for 30 minutes to be told someone would be out tonight. I then received a call from another unbelievably rude man from pH Jones who said ‘someone will be out in the morning’ I said I have a health condition I can’t be left all night with no heating, he said ‘well no one is coming out tonight’ and he put the phone down!I then called the emergency line again, to speak to yet another rude man who said ‘the engineer is refusing to come out tonight so there’s nothing we can do’ I said this is a disgrace and asked to speak to a manager, he said ‘well he’s busy he can’t just drop what he’s doing to speak to you’. The manager then said that there is only one engineer and he’s refusing to come back.I cannot believe how disgraceful this company have behaved and I will be filing a complaint with the ombudsman.

Awful customer service, dishonest, and incompetent staff! The engineers broke my boiler's face during the annual gas check in early March and promised to come back in a week to fix it, but they never showed up! After numerous complaints and emails, they eventually replied, claiming they couldn't reach me, which was an absolute dishonest statement. They couldn't provide any proof when I asked how they tried to contact me (no letter, text message, or email!). Finally, after completing the stage 2 complaint process, they fixed the broken piece on June 30th! I'm now seeking legal advice as this is unacceptable!

Absolutely disgusted, I called at 8am on a Sunday as my elderly disabled mum had no hot water or heating to be asked if it’s an emergency, honestly what a question, we then had a text to say they would be there between 8-5 I had to call them at 4.30pm as they hadn’t been the. Called them again. At 5.10pm, I had to talk to a supervisor in the end as I wasn’t getting anywhere. My mum was left from 8-6pm without heating and hot water she is 77 years old and honesty this is not acceptable.

Absolutely a joke. Poorly informed that we we had an appointment. Received a texted to say the engineer was on the way... call to inform them seconds after the text I was ten minutes away was told the engineer had left and had turned off our gas due the complying with regs. I have a four year old in the house with a gas cooker, my husband is a teacher and I have an autoimmune disease, work 6am- 5pm +bank holiday weekend.I have called repeatedly through to your centres trying to get a time of when your engineer will attend which I find insane the you are unable to track how many jobs and what stage your employees are at. And trust they would actually call before attending not leaving a job before the text is sent.I'm actually losing money not working and I've paid for childcare which I didn't need to as you know I've been home all day wasting time and losing overtime i have worked money in the living crisis due to you being unable to call me. Frankly I'm disgusted by the lack of coordination, cooperation and organization within your company. But do not misunderstand every employee I have spoken to has been more than pleasant and obliging it's just they have been bound by your stupid regulations.

What an absolute joke of a company, left me with no heating or hot water and a disabled child on the property.Multiple promises of this being escalated and nothin. Absolute joke and as much customer focus as a blind man in a brothel. Avoid at all costs

I really hope I do not have to deal with this company again. Have read alot of other reviews and some of things that have happened to others Have happened to me, so I know I am not alone in this. Still what goes around comes around" as the saying goes."

Simply awful. Gave me an appointment window of 5 hours and didn't show up. At least have the decency to say you can't make it. Wonder if I'll be able to have my heating fixed before the end of the winter season (!).

I cannot believe this company is owned by British Gas! I echo Brian's comments completely; my home was also left in a completely unacceptable state after a representative of PH Jones fitted a new" kitchen radiator in my absence. They'd not only left rubbish and old plumbing parts all over the kitchen floor

This company sent round an engineer that left me with 2 gas leaks, I am disabled and had to find out who the gas emergency centre, who had to take everything apart as PHJones denied he had made an big error. They even sent a gas safety certificate knowing the engineer they sent had left me with 2 gas leaks. SGN had to come out and was appalled by the leaks the engineer had left. HSGN also advised me to get the wiring on the boiler redone as frayed wires were dangerous and would cause boiler to blow up if water got into them. This company should be banned. They refused to pay £86 for gas that had leaked and I am still appalled they sent a gas safety certificate knowing that the gas is still not safe. I got in touch with the Daily Mail and Metro who both did an article after hearing how this company treated me and left me with no gas as I had no more money to put on a gas metre. I now won't buy gas as they won't pay for the leaked gas. This is how they treat vulnerable, disabled women.

Absolutely awful service. Carbon monoxide poisonous gas leaked in the house on Friday. Emergency services told us to ring council. 4 days later and 3 attempts to get an engineer here from PH Jones and we are still waiting, freezing cold with no hot water. Waited 1 hour on 3 occasions for someone to answer the phone, disgusting. Their policy is a joke, customer comes first, safety is paramount. They have left us in freezing temperatures. If we were paying customers it would not have happened like this. We have been treated unfairly and now my partner is not well. Very close to contacting the local newspaper. I have requested that a manager ring me from PH Jones but no they have not.
