National Tyres and Autocare - a Halfords company

Awful can't be bothered attitude. Booked an appointment online for the Leicester branch, on arrival the tyre fitter couldn't carry out the repair as he didn't know how to take a wheel nut plastic cover off, took me 2 minutes with a couple of small screw drivers.

Terrible service would avoid. I was kept waiting that long i had to check that my car was still taxed before driving off. Staff appear asleep and completely unmotivated. I'm a taxi driver so time = £££ Spoke to them on the phone arranged to go and have two front tyres replaced after nearly 2 hours " my car was finally done it then took the guy nearly 30 mins to take payment Gordon then said if he couldn't address the issue with his pcomputer and take payment he was going to take my new tyres off and fit my old ones ( which I wouldn't of allowed ) but was shocked that he said that. My patience had fully ran out by this point and politely told him if he can't take payment within the next 5 mins I'm going and he can send me a invoice. Only one person appears to work ( the young lad ) while the other chit chat instead of work."

I had a very good experience here apart from 1 employee felt he can get away with making unwanted comments (chris) well you can't I've contacted head office about you and hopefully your get some training on how not to poke your nose into something that wasn't your concern the other guys were brilliant its a shame 1 person can ruin a review

I normally don’t leave negative reviews but this time i had to. I booked a free cambelt check through halfords. It was USELESS trip wasting my petrol. Person in the reception was unbothered. Neither they couldn’t check physically nor provide some advice. Person just asked how many miles has the car done and they responeded yes it needs changing without any evidences to support that. Never going again there for sure.

Quality service and finished earlier than expected. We were kept informed all the way including a text to say your car is ready for pick up... very slick and good prices!

Quick and efficient upon arrival. Report and receipt sent to my email straight after work completed. Can't fault the place to be honest!

AVOID - Dishonest, rude and scammersI recently visited this Autocentre due to a tyre puncture and was extremely disappointed with the service I received. Initially, I was met with a cold attitude from the staff, which was off-putting. I was in a rush due to personal commitments, so I proceeded with the service.The staff advised me that my punctured tyre was irreparable and quoted £151.7X for a replacement. Additionally, they recommended replacing the other rear tyre, claiming it was near the legal limit. Trusting their professional opinion, I agreed, especially since there was a Black Friday offer of 10% off on 2 tyres.However, the final billing process was confusing and misleading. The invoice showed the tyres at £156 each, not the initially quoted price. Despite reminders, the 10% discount was incorrectly applied to only one tyre, and my £5 welcome voucher was overlooked. When I questioned this, the staff member was dismissive and aggressive, insisting that the charges were correct, citing pre-VAT calculations, which doesn't make sense.Furthermore, I later realised that the second tyre I was persuaded to replace was not as worn as suggested - the tread depth was 4mm, well above the legal limit. This misinformation led me to purchase an unnecessary tyre.Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied with the misleading advice, incorrect billing, and rude customer service at this centre. It's disheartening to lose trust in a brand that I once considered reputable.I emailed customer service on 11th Nov and not even had a response so the problem is company wide.

Not very helpful staff at all, they would not do wheel tracking on my car as the car was too big apparently, a standard family SUV... On pervious occasion they have booked the same car for the same job. When I have turned up with my car, they have advised that I may not need tracking because bad alignment is not he reason why front tyres are wearing out on the outer edge. Would not recommend this place, dishonest and rubbish.
