I found the chap that served me a little condescending, as if I should be grateful that he was serving me,didn't have no fresh mince,chickens, kidneys, duck, absolutely no Sunday roast joints.

Passionate about meat, not sure what size joint of meat you need for 6 adults, just ask. They'll tell you the best way to cook it too. The deli counter is good also.

If I could give a minus I would. We visited this shop during a day out as they invite you to “come in and browse” but the staff were extremely rude, bad mannered and unfriendly. Don’t bother wasting your precious money here find somewhere else that appreciates your custom and shows some respect.

Traditional butcher in Mersea.Great butcher who is always happy to advise on joins of meat and the best ways to cook it.Excellent range of meat very well butchered and great value too.They are do a range of cooked meat products, or which I have tried the pies and coleslaws which I couldn’t recommend more.Highly recommended butcher, worth taking the detour for.
