The Urban Chocolatier | The Urban Chocolatier was born out of our artisan approach to gelato and patisserie. We handmake stunning gelato flavours, free from aritificial ingredients in-house, guaranteeing 100% freshness all the time. All our gelato is made by hand using a traditional Italian method using fresh ingredients.

Great experience. Tried their cinnamon donuts which were pipping hot and fresh served with chocolate sauce and tasted great. One of our party tried Sundae which was again very good. Overall a good experience and highly recommended. The decor is also very nice with great ambiance. The staff very helpful and courteous and ensured that we were happy with our food.

A nice place to get dessert, though keep in mind the portion size is massive, although appropriate for the price(this is based on what I had, a waffle). Waiters are nice and the looks and atmosphere are lovely.I'd recommend this place and certainly would go again

Updated to cover a second visit: overall a pleasant experience.The cafe/restaurant is nice and clean and it wasn’t that busy on a midweek week, early evening.The food is served promptly, and usually well presented and tasted good: it is chocolaty and there the base dishes do ooze toppings.The service doesn’t match what the brand suggests and does need work. However, staff are polite and helpful, but don’t really ooze approachability, so it’s awkward when you have to chase missing items or when split drinks are delivered.

It was a nice pleasant experience, very friendly staff, very good service, waffles ice cream and the macchiato was also very nice. I think this is the best urban chocolatier branch I have been to.

Food was good but they needed to work little on customer service. Some of the waitresses were really good. They mixed up our dessert, my son didn't realise and started having it faster half way of it, they came to say it was the wrong order and brought the one we ordered but my son was upset and he is just 7. They took it back and thrown it but just could have said it's on the house, carry on. We paid for our items anyway! So we had to do a takeaway for the one we have ordered

The desserts aren't as nice as some of their other branches, but it's OK. The banoffee milkshake is amazing though

Though it has been coming in news from some months for good things, quite popular and its very local to me but all this white, I visited today for the first time.Ambience, interiors are quite nice and gives such lovely pics.Staff was very friendly, cooperative and patient. 5 stars for them. Staff was very humble, amiable and being Friday evening they let us chit chat and catch up and they were patient with our order too as we took some time to order.In menu, I would have a suggestion to add some eggless options other than waffles.My friends enjoyed their hot chocolate, coffee, cookie dough & red velvet cake.

Service is fab and the dessert are top tier my favorite place ever! So glad to have Barkingside one so close to my house I used to go to the Whitechapel branch years ago great to see them expand
