Very impressive company. Responsive, organised and the survey came back with great detail. We requested a follow up call and Kirsten took a lot of time to take us through the report as well as offering some great advice. We're extremely reassured. Worth every penny.

Spoke with Tracey who responded promptly, set up our survey very quickly and was very kind on the phone when I admitted that as a first time buyer I didn't really understand what a survey was for.She explained how its works, what the traffic light system means, and what type of things we may need to watch out for in the type of property we are purchasing.Survey report arrived 2 working days after survey completed. We were back and forth about the need for them but decided to add colour photos and are glad we did as really helps understand the results and any issues highlighted.Would not hesitate to use again. When getting quotes we were concerned that they seemed a bit too low in price, but service was very high quality.

We had 2 surveys from Smart Home Surveys as the first property was a no-goer. Although they know their stuff, I found the surveys to be deeply depressing. They carry an arrogant tone and if there is anything they cannot access or are not equipped to comment on eg gas and electrics, they simply slap a red flag on it, to cover themselves I suppose, which makes for alarming reading. They seem to have forgotten the basic human premise that their customers have found somewhere they are willing to commit an awful lot of money to, because they like it enough to turn it into a home. There was not a single note of appreciation for the 2 places they surveyed for us, including the one we went on to buy and that left a sour aftertaste which in some ways is still with us.Perhaps surveying has all gone this way during the last decade. When we bought our previous house 9 years ago, although there was loads wrong with it - way more to do than in the one we just bought - the surveyor showed such appreciation for the building and its potential that we felt we were in collaboration with him. There was not a collegiate feeling with Smart Home Surveys, including the fact that you have to pay extra to have an actual conversation with them for more than 10 or 15 mins. The sense is that they don't really want to engage very much with their customers.

Really happy with the service provided - able to come within 10 days, the person who attended (Alex) was extremely thorough and here for nearly 2 hours (despite it being a tiny 2 bed flat!) and the report provided was more detailed than I've seen anywhere online. I did a lot of research to find this company and we're 100% with the choice we made. Will absolutely recommend to anyone.
