Worst experience ever. Do not buy from them. I was missold a sofa. A technician came and was so rude. He made his mind up the minute he walked through the door. He made me upset. He then proceeded to jump on my cushions with his shoes. Made a complaint and was told they can't do anything and didn't beleive what happened. Saying nothing the can do and will not send someone else round. No customer service skills. I was upset on the phone no empathy or consideration . We now have a sofa we cannot use. Very dissapointed. If people were nice and polite I would have probably not even made a complaint

Do not buy a sofa from this shop, absolutely shocking worst sofas we have ever had, we have had it repaired as the frame broke, the guy who came to sort it, said they had not been made properly since it left the factory. No padding a the arms of any sofa all you can feel is the wood. Over priced bits of wood. Held together with nothing but glue. Definitely wouldn’t buy anything from SCS again. Save your hard earned money and go to a different company.

After being delivered a 2nd hand foul strong tobbaco smelling item of furniture after I ordered a new item they were not really interested. Below is a video after putting my hand down the side of chair was evidence of crisps from previous owner.This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional I would not reccomend using this store this is dishonest salesmenship.

Supposed to have a carpet fitted today but supposedly the carpet fitters van broke down outside the warehouse. I had to ring SCS about this as they didn’t ring me. Fitting was already delayed and I was the one who had to ring them.Their customer service is non existent and they won’t even contact the warehouse to find out where my carpet is and stated the fitters phone was off when I could ring them. Would not advise using them

Still awaiting my sofas, told proudly that WE (SCS) have 4 weeks extra to still provide a delivery date. No concern for the customer. I paid in full, twice now delivery has been cancelled at last minute. Will never use again, just hope I get what I’ve paid for very soon or don’t have to wait forever for a refund.

We ordered a table and chairs plus a couch from SCS, spending £4,000 plus, we asked for the delivery of the items to be delivered together, which we had to wait for, as they cancelled twice, causing me to loose annual leave and money.Now they have finally sent the table and chairs and the chairs are not the ones we ordered and don’t match the sofa or any of the fittings as we have planned.When speaking to the customer service they showed no compassion or empathy and when I asked to speak to a manager as the employee could not deal with my problem, I had to wait 48 hours for a manager to contact me.Considering SCS boasts that their furniture comes from Britain and when the box of chairs arrives that says in bold lettering “MADE IN CHINA”.As I work within the delivery hours of SCS I’m likely going to have to book more annual leave to wait for a set of chairs that should have arrived two months ago.Don’t order from SCS, they will take ages to deliver, and when it does come it will be the wrong product, they are incredibly good at taking your money and not delivering the goods as promised, which is a legally binding contract which they have broken.This company takes advantage of the general public and judging by reviews appears to get away with it time and time again.I will be reporting SCS to the trading standards.

The poor review specifically concerns the after sales service. Having purchased flooring and carpet for Hall stairs and Landing their surveyor came out and measured up for both - no problems so far.After fitting there was a lot of excess wastage (well over the 10% they quote) as whole box of laminate unopened and all the door strips were unused as the flooring fitter refused to use them due to poor quality. This added up to a not insignificant £110. Not a problem I thought I’ll return the unopened laminate and the door strips that were deemed useless by their own fitters and get a refund for them. Had to send pics of the unopened items so they could authorise a refund. Next day customer service call to tell me they would not refund as it was “wastage”. Quite how they came to this conclusion is beyond me. Any sane person would accept the flooring and strips back to re-issue (no loss of revenue on either part). I mentioned that there was at least 10% wastage in the pile of flooring that was left outside my house. But as I had taken It to the tip a few days before they pointed out I couldn’t prove it. What followed was a point blank refusal to accept undeniable fractions to percentages conversions on behalf of SCS and ended up with the frankly unbelievable situation in that I would not be allowed to return anything for a refund.To add insult to injury I also questioned an “uplift fee” for the stairs carpet that we were categorically told nothing about. Indeed we were quoted £84 to fit the carpet (to be paid on the day) not a problem I went to the cash point and withdrew £85. Carpet fitters then told me it was £122 due to uplift of the carpet. I was told to raise the isssue with the store as I or my wife was not aware of this. Store told us to call customer services. Subsequent investigation found we were told about it (well it would wouldn’t it!) and they would not refund the extra cash. I take exception to being called a liar and my integrity questioned. But the sub attitude of the customer service advisor was unbelievable. When asking to escalate the problems I was totally shut down and told this was the end of the matter unless I wanted to involve a third party. In Sum, SCS will take your money, lie to you, withhold information and generally fleece you of as much as possible. Their return policy is frankly laughable. Use this company at your peril. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

I wouldn’t rate this company to anyone. They are disrespectful and don’t care about people grieving. All they care about is themself and how the rip off people with their warranty . Blaming a terminally ill woman for the damage, and saying how it took us 6 months to report it , people if you want a sofa please don’t buy from this company , save the extra and go to a company that’s there for you and not for themselves. I will shame this company on every website they are on I’ve had to give it a one star to post it but trust me it would be minus 100 . Again getting people to rate them to allow to post the truth about this company

Was told insurance would cover leather and manual recliner mechanism. Only found out when insurance certificate arrived that it only covered leather. Also found out the leather spray treatment cost over £200. Would never have agreed to this if Andrew the salesperson at Straiton store had told me. He also sold me sliders which make no difference. I can’t move the sofas. In fact on reading the care instructions it states sliders only needed for laminate floor. To move the sofas you need to lift them. Andrew asked me what type of flooring I had and I told him quite clearly, carpet. He said I would need these sliders at a cost of £60 to move them easily. He appeared to be a very nice young man but will say anything to make a sale.
