The Olive Garden Cafe
Been here a few times for breakfast or afternoon tea whilst shopping at Homebase.Always a nice selection of pastries/ cakes etc.So on a positive note the premises are spotless, the food prep area is clean and tidy.I took my niece for breakfast today and she ordered the French toast breakfast special and I had a breakfast roll. Everything arrived separately with significant gaps in-between so drinks and food aren’t enjoyed hot, fresh and at the same time - I’m sure that wouldn’t be too difficult as there was four staff and two customers.We were sitting on the inside seats ( on the fixed seating - not the chairs) but the waitress put our food on the other side of the table and not in front of us - which I wasn’t sure why.My four stars reflects the food, hygiene and premises which were all great. The service issues are things that can be improved upon , although other reviews mention the same issue.Nice and tasty foodService issues can be resolved

Called in for coffee and scones we where only customers waiting tock 15 minutes when coffee came it was cold asked for another cup girls was so unpleasant another coffee brought down left to table never spoke to us 2 young girls serving hadn’t a clue or didn’t want to be bothered even when we asked for butter for our scones u have thought we asked for something unreal will never be back again

The Olive Garden Cafe
Really disappointed in this cafe, the staff were young and inexperienced and not very friendly or helpful. Was told they had a good gluten free menu but they only had stew to offer. No gluten free bread etc. Left swiftly very upset and annoyed we had a wasted journey. Will not be back. This place was recommended to us as being a good place for gluten free food. Not so.

Now, I have had one experience at the olive garden cafe in which i was greeted with pleasant staff and a wide selection of good available.
