Direct Carpets

Wouldn't waste your time. Spent over £2000 on carpets and vinyl and the finish is so poor. Carpets are loose and ill-fitting, have had to get someone else out to fit them properly.The vinyl will have to be completely replaced when we can afford it. Poorly cut, glue everywhere, doesn't fit.Also, they don't clean up after themselves at all, had to make 3 trips to the skip to get rid of all the waste they left behind.

Direct carpets phoned and said they will be with us at 9am just gone 1pm they came bedroom carpet looked good but the vinyl in the kitchen they ripped it so there was a noticeable hole in it, when fitted it they took the cupboard panel off and didn't put it back properly and left all the rubbish in the gardens I've always gone with them and it's never been this bad will definitely not use again

Horrendous service from start to finish.Chose this company from 3 others with a guarantee before Chrismas. Came to fit carpet with amature fitter felt sorry for him he was so out of his depth. They were there 8 hours then left job unfinished and completely ruined.Manager Ken then came out and apologised and promised new carpet to be fitted monday before Christmas. They never turned up. Went into shop to be screamed at and made to cry.Would never use this company again, we ended up going with Troy from Lemon Tree.Couldn't of done a better job, Alan was brilliant. Will never use them again

Popped in last Tuesday as I was passing, received a friendly welcome. The carpet was ordered whilst in the shop and fitted by Friday.!Great price, friendly service and the fitter was polite and respectful.Thank you.

Paid for carpets. Always specifying what extras i wanted and what type of door bar i wanted .three times i did this over a period of time.every time the carpet fitters came they would fit carpet but never put down everything i wanted. i would complain, but they never came back to put things right at first i thought mistake and the by the third time new i would never go there again

Spent nearly £300 on stairs carpet for it all freding and bold patches on the sides of each step not happy at all

Fitted carpets in my daughter's house , in bedroom the leftover remnants and rubbish had glue which wouldn't budge. Ken the manager came and looked and blamed bathroom fitter even though bathroom had been completed before carpet fitting. Wouldn't do anything about it.Carpet on stairs has come loose and despite promise to come and stick it back down , nobody has come.Now one person fell yesterday on the stairs with the detached carpet. Awaiting outcome from this fall and shall be contacting lawyers .Dangerous practices by this company need to be addressed and stopped as soon as possible .

Absolutely diabolical don't go there!!I recently had a bedroom carpet and underlay fitted. The door gripper was placed wrong and there is a good half inch gap each side, when I had a closer look I realised they had split the adjacent laminate flooring in the hallway so had tried to cover it by placing the door bar over it. It's ruined the whole look of the room. I telephoned the shirley branch (southampton) and spoke with Ken he asked me to forward some pics which I did, he then emailed me back saying they don't use those door bars. (The fitters had left the remaining length in my bedroom)!! his response was very abrupt and rude. I then went to the shop and spoke with Wayne...he showed me the door grippers they stock and admitted it was one of theirs and assured me he would get the issue rectified. I have since emailed him twice! and guess what!!! ....no responseI am NOT one for letting things go and I shall continue fighting this until this mess is put right.PLEASE think carefully before using CARPETS DIRECT IN SHIRLEY SOUTHAMPTONPLEASE NOTE:-I WOULD LIKE TO UPDATE THIS POST....The fitters were called back (thanks to Wayne and the lady that works there...sorry didn't get her name) Ken carried on denying they were their door bars, despite being told by Wayne they were!!!Anyway they put it right for me and I can now say I'm very pleasedThank you

Extremely weird behaviour from the fitter. Refusing to tell client measurements or how the invoice breakdown was figured out. From looking at recent reviews its clear this has gone downhill
