Having spent thousands of pounds on a cold water booster for our home we noticed two issues post install. One, a loud squeak ever time the unit started and stopped, and the second, the pressure vessel losing pressure every 9months.We spoke with technical support about the issues and were reliably informed the squeak would go away as the unit “wore in”, and that the pressure vessel would be addressed at the first service. Fine we thought. First service came, lovely engineers, they tightened the pressure vessel and mentioned that vibrations from the unit often resulted in nuts working loose and that there was a “version 2” of the vessel in the works to address this. Ok I thought, let’s give it another 6 months. After 18months of “letting the unit wear in” it is still making a terrible squeak that we can hear throughout the house. Again we raise this and an engineer comes out. He says that “some of these units just make this noise”. I say that isn’t good enough for a residential product. He says he will speak to head office about this. After weeks of email exchange with very lovely support staff, “management” decide that because the unit is out of warranty (because they had told me to give the unit time to wear in), the best they can do is charge me £900 to replace some parts. Needless to say I am not a happy customer and would strong avoid their products in the future.
