Nice Brewers fayre on the outskirts of Grantham, we used it for a lunch stop on our way to Lincolnshire. Food was nice and staff helpful

We enjoyed our visit. We had not booked as we were only passing through. They said they did not have a table in the restaurant but we could sit in the bar area. That suited me as I am deaf and the bar area was quieter. Our food was delivered quite quickly and my lasagna was hot and tasty. My husband enjoyed the prawn cocktail. A pleasant visit. Thank you.

Four Adults visited and four meals were partly consumed. Two Carveries on cold plates that rendered both meals cold before half the meal was eaten by which time the two other two menu ordered meals were still to be delivered to the table.A winner winner Chicken dinner should have simply read just don't have this dinner" - definitely not as advertised!I'm still not sure what the smothered chicken was partly covered in?Very disappointed and would have complained but they wouldn't have heard us over the sound of the vacuum cleaner that was out as soon as tables cleared... With half of their food left on cold plates!"

Went there to try their festive menu whilst visiting in area. Got there about 2ish in afternoon after what looked like busy lunchtime. Food was ok but can't say the same about service. Prompt service initially with drinks order taken and then food order. Had food and then waited for someone to clear table and take dessert order. After about 15 minutes I went to see if could find member of staff. John came and cleared table and took dessert order. Waited and waited again. In the end went to ask another member of staff. On checking, the dessert order hadn't been put through! Thank you John! Apparently you had gone off duty without doing it!! Eventually got desserts after another wait even though not many customers. Needless to say, won't be rushing back. Best to order your desserts at same time as order main meal - at least you'll know the order has gone through!!

Booked in on a Sunday so opted for the carvery.Meat quality was good and portions were sufficient, though we upgraded to the big plates for an additional £1.50.Selection of vegetables was good though could have been hotter. We had a 40% off voucher which made the meal excellent value but even at the full price was fair value. The restaurant was very busy with customers queuing for a table so would recommend booking.Would definitely return.

nice enough place for a chain pub. always busy so book if you can. dropped a star because the roast potatoes have changed since my last visit, they have a coating on that had too much salt and didn't taste great. rest of the meal was good

We stopped at Grantham to take photos of the statues of Sir Isaac Newton and Baroness Margaret Thatcher and on the way back to the A1 we we had lunch at the Farrier. The service was helpful and friendly and the food was cooked well, we had good lunch at a reasonable price.
