Our family have been a longtime supporter of the Old Railway Garden Centre and always thought it to be a great place. But the restaurant is starting to get ridiculously priced for what you get. The food is ok but not worth the prices being charged now... over £7 for a toasted sandwich! Come on and make it good quality and value for money like it used to be!

It was a long wait for lunch but we were informed from the start and it was a Saturday not long before Christmas.I suggest that there is a notice put up to inform people who have booked a table that they go to the exit to be seated instead of waiting in the queue, as we did to begin with.Staff very helpful even though they were short staffed, but still coping and cheerful.Amazing decorations for Christmas around the whole garden centre and lots to see.Lovely gifts

The wait for a table at lunchtime was worth it - delicious food in clean and comfortable restaurant. Enjoyed as always a relaxed lunch and catchup with a friend.

Pricey to say the least. Two meals were 35 quid, nothing fancy, two bottles of coke and a cup of tea were had too. The cafe is part of a garden centre, with a small food court with Harrods pricing. It's always packed though, so that says something, just don't expect a cheap meal.

Popular restaurant, but even though it was busy, there were plenty of staff; so waiting times were no more than you'd expect when food is cooked to order. We always find there's plenty of choice, and the food is competitively priced.

Called in twice late November - the food is great (if you get it)..the wait time is horrendous..45 mins first time, second time we waited 50mins only to find that our order had gone missing"..i'd recommend the Beacon's Bake but mine never turned up."

Gorgeous place for a lunch! Came here on a Thursday Lunch. We hadn't booked but got there for about 12. It's quiet a maze walk from the car park through the garden centre (takes about 5 minutes) but is worth it with pretend foliage and twinkly lights! We managed to get a table for 8. The menu is extremely extensive for a garden centre! Something for everyone! And the most amazing array of puddings and cakes! Lovely staff who were remaining calm and friendly despite being several team members down.I can highly recommend the loaded fries! They also let us swap out items on the all day breakfast which was great!Highly recommend a trip here, just don't go if you're in a rush!
