Sonority Design

Over the last two years I’ve dealt with Sonority with outstanding results to my system. When you think you’ve got the system sounding at its best they proved me wrong.They approach things from a musical point of view, and it helps that they are complete music nuts.I live the best part of 200 miles from them, but that didn’t stop them travelling to install stuff…and they were prepared to let my ears judge at my leisure.

Sonority Design (Steve) has built an incredible listening room inside an old foundry. He has documented his build process, which mainly took place during Covid on his website.I have visited a couple of times to discuss developing audio products. The feeling when you enter the main listening room is wow, what a room. Any music played sounds amazing. And you can see close up the amazing attention to detail that Steve has used to make the room so good from so many different viewpoints.Anyone who is interested in purchasing anything that he sells and in particular isolation stands, should organise a visit to Sonority Design.

We had agreed on the sale of an ex demo product from them for a price I was happy to pay and was told to contact them at a certain date when it becomes available.I contacted them on that date and was then told that I would have to pay an extra £340.Their reason was due to the product in question having also increased their new stock prices.When you agree on a price and I had that confirmed by the email from them you do not then go and try to increase that price.I was told by them when I questioned the price increase that they have other customers interested in buying so It then became clear to me that they had been offered more money by another customer.Not the way to run a business and I will not be visiting in the future even though I am local to their shop.
