Both Sunday lunches were very good plus decent (not skimpy) portion size - we ordered mash as a side because Sunday lunch needs mash!! Food is relatively expensive for a Sunday lunch partly because it is everywhere but mine was close to £20 . Serving staff all excellent and tipping is very transparent on the bill which is a big positive. We enjoyed !!

The food was fine, but not particularly special, and one of our group didn’t enjoy the burger. The vegetarian options were extremely limited. Service was quite poor - a number of requests were delivered incorrectly, and apart from the main courses arriving incredibly quickly, everything was slow. The final bill seemed extraordinarily high for the quality of food and overall experience.

Very vintage. Food was really nice. We had fish cake and chicken burger and for the desert we had honey pot. Desert was the highlight of our meal. Pot was made out of chocolate and inside it t had some more chocolate served with ice cream. We been twice while we were in North Yorkshire. They had outside sitting area which was really nice in warm weather. Must go to place.

Had dinner again here and luckily our server was Charlie again. A lovely person as ever, very helpful, professional and friendly. We had the orange duck parfait as a starter again since it has become my husband’s favorite and a sirloin steak and the duo lamb. Everything was perfect as usual, the food came in a timely manner and all delicious as expected. Highly recommended place to come with friends, family, and date nights.

lovely ambience. good service. valuue for money food. Went here again in June 2023…..weekday lunchtime …..EXCELLENT again, lovely friendly service ….. keep up the good work and we’ll always travel to this lovely pub

Very warm welcome, seated and served drinks very quickly. Our Sunday lunch only took around 10 mins from ordering and the quality and portion sizes were fantastic!Only feedback would be that we weren't asked if we wanted our bill when the rest of the visit was table service and we had to go to the bar after waiting a little while.

Only our second visit but my wife and I will definitely be back. Great service, friendly, pleasant staff, the food is top quality, shouldn't really have had the pudding but we did and it was spot on. A very nice venue with ample parking. Well worth the 5 stars I have given.

Pretty regular customer (birthdays, meals out, etc) and food is always delicious. Went for the Christmas Menu with family and it was next level. The portions were huge! The vegetables were cooked to perfection and full of flavour, the gravy was hot and right consistency, the turkey was juicy! I can't remember the last time I truly enjoyed turkey (I usually just know it's quite a dry meat and am OK with that as I only really eat it at Christmas). I was so full from lunch time, I didn't eat again that day. Friendly staff, timely service and beautiful layout, nicely decorated and maintained log fires.

Had a lovely meal before going to the theatre. Lottie the young lady who served us was amazing nothing was too much trouble for her. Lovely personality and a good sense of humour.
