I haven’t been in a Curry’s for 20 years. I used to hate them: mithering staff. However, I went to Curry’s Capitol Preston this week. The staff were friendly and helpful on the phone beforehand. When I got there one of the sales team kept an eye on me but didn’t harass me. When I indicated I wanted help he was immediately onto it. He made some sensible recommendations. I bought a new soundbar and it was obviously brand new, as in from the factory new. Everything I’ve bought on Amazon lately, or with Richer Sounds has been opened before and is either damaged or re conditioned. Payment was easy, and out in no time. Really impressed with the Capitol store. Worth a visit as they have truckloads of stock to sample.

So rather than buy on line you go to a real shop. They had just the clock radio I wanted on display. Eventually found an assistant. We don't have it in stock. Yes you do it's there. Can't sell you that it's for display???Why have a shop.Amazon i guess now

Poor service! Waited an age to be seen too after asking a lad for a price. 2nd lad we approached helped us with some information but couldn't answer why they was selling Samsung tablets that were not going to receive anything other than security updates?! (s6 light). I have one of these already and it stopped receiving main software updates a good few months ago but this lot are still pushing them out at 200 and odd quid! So, on to the purchase. Staff member number 3 was a helpful lass who after us deciding on which pad to buy informed us (as usual), there was no stock! This is the 3rd time I've shopped here and they've had no stock? I've had 2 previous pads and a hp laptop. The pad we ordered was delivered as promised the next day but if they're that easy to source, why not have them in stock? Anyway, one good thing was we wasn't pushed for buying a 3000 year extended warranty, all the usual extras... But the young lady behind the counter would have looked better getting on the shop floor instead of sitting on her phone, as would the 3 in a huddle at the front of the store! And companies wonder why people are shopping online!

Young lad in there called Tom. Absolutely brilliant lad. Knows his stuff. Couldn’t t help enough. Seriously don’t understand how he can remember all the info Was very impressed. Credit to the store

Terrible store. Tried to purchase a TV today but no staff had any interest in helping. The one salesman I managed to speak to turned the TV on to the menu screen and just walked off not to be seen again. I went to store to see and hear the quality of the TV, shouldn't have bothered. If I didn't know any better I'd have thought their aim was not to seel anything at all. 1 star is too many.

I just got in, and a gaggle of staff congregated in the centre of the shop. We approached asking about a PlayStation 5 and its availability; now this is a £470 product. We were treated as if we walked up and punched each one of them individually. The floor manager was there; my 11-year-old daughter would have been more useful. completely unfriendly, dismissive, and ignorant. I left the store, went to Bamber Bridge Argos, ordered it for £379.00, and picked it up on Tuesday. Embarrassing for curry's; maybe a clean-out is required.
