Cwmcarn Forest Drive Camp Site

Not sure what camping facilities are like as I haven't used them.Lovely walks around the pond and wooded areas. Sadly, the scenic drive is currently closed due to disease control felling of trees.The coffee shop is very good, clean and reasonably priced cakes and drinks. Staff are friendly.Dogs are allowed on the outside area of coffee shop (not sure about inside). Car parking available, but it is a pay and display (last time I visited it was £1).The pond has a dog area for paddling and the water is clean.Worth a visit, especially if you like walking.

Absolutely stunning. Loved this drive. And there's more to it than a drive through. Looking forward to glamping/camping in the future. Well worth checking it out.

Scenic drive is worth a visit. Lots of places to stop. Toilet facilities and picnic areas to enjoy. The views are brilliant especially the one overlooking the channel. Take some binoculars if you can. You can park and walk up to Twmbalam and enjoy both the walk and the views all around you.

There's no soul to this campsite, and without an on-site human presence (apart from office hours) there's nothing to hold the place together. Admittedly, the camper is on the doorstep of beautiful scenary for walking or cycling, but there's no real place for the kids to kick a ball, or play in the park that isn't outside of the perimeter. Staff very polite, friendly and helpful and the coffee shop (also slightly off site) provides good food and drink at reasonable rates. The ablutions are neat and clean, but I can't help feel they are a little tired. Nothing wrong with them however. I probably won't return but please: make up your own minds!

Nice location but overall terrible experience. The security guard decided to come at around 12 am and let car idle all night long next to our tent. Wasn't able to get to sleep until he left around 6 am,.it was so noisy like a truck. We reported it to reception who said he must have been cold. Booked for two nights but decided go home after one. I really can't recommend this place. So disappointed

Great food great staff. Fabulous views. Whether your into cycling or not its a good place to visit. Pods available if you want to stay overnight. Scenic drive currently closed. Access for the disabled is good.

Beautiful area with miles of woodland...

Fantastic day out for all...off road cyclists paradise. walkers spoilt for choice .just for a drive stunning views for miles. Brilliant facility's for children...disabled persons well catered for regarding parking .access to viewpoints and disabled toilets ...all round a fabulous day out for those who enjoy the outdoors and worth the entrance fee of £8 per car....
