Household Recycling Centre

All the staff were very helpful and pleasant.The rules not allowing a helper from the car are frustrating. My 80 year old husband had to unload the fully laden vehicle on his own while I watched. I was not allowed to assist him.

Easy to use when it's not busy. Decent signage, so you know where to put stuff. Metal steps are not ideal though. My mother would struggle to get up and down more than once.

We just moved to the area & had lots of rubbish to recycle & dump but rang to find out what the current protocol was, the staff were amazing & got us a bookable slot within 2 hours of our enquiry. Such great service. The staff on the ground were a great laugh as well. Such a pleasure to see Happy staff having a laugh with the public. Thanks

Moved to Wiltshire a couple of months ago, big garden to get into shape so quite a few visits already! Well organised, tidy site with friendly, helpful staff. Used to dread going before but makes it a pleasure to be disposing of our green waste!

Our experience today at Warminster Tip was very frustrating. Access was easy and with no wait but as newcomers to the area we had no idea where we had to go to dispose of a mattress. We asked an older man stood at the side to be told “quote” - “Residual waste” - in a short and sarcastic manner. When asked where is that he said very moodily “There are signs on all the bins”. He didn’t move from the spot, leaning on the barrier the whole time we were there. All he had to politely do is indicate the right direction to help us on our way. This is the second time my husband has encountered the same person with the same attitude, standing on the same spot doing nothing. These workers are paid by all of us in our council tax and as they are working with the public should be, at the least, polite or be seen to be working. We left pretty angry to be spoken to like this and I hope the council take notice of comments by the public and take suitable action. One disagreeable employee reflects badly on the rest of the staff there and needs to be sent on a course for dealing with the public.
