Claremont Aquatic Nurseries

I went to buy fish but some of the water had lots of duckweed. This might be to help keep the water cool but I don't want it introduced to the pond. There were sick fish and the price was 50% higher than where I ended up going after here. This used to be the first and usually only place I'd go to, not any more. It's not a big place, there's no excuse.

I bought a large water lily earlier in the summer from Claremont, with their advice on the sort to get. It has been a delight since we bought it, sending up new leaves most days, and recently our first beautiful flower . It looks so lush and healthy and really makes our pond look great. Many thanks!

Visited last year and bought several ,goldfish oxygenated plants and Lilly's for my mother's pond. This year the Lilly's have taken off in an abundance of colours. Excellent advice and customer service.

Been here a few times and while im not a local (Manchester) I am willing to travel for quality advice and products. A couple of years ago I built a raised sleeper pond with bog filtration and Claremont were very helpful with advice on plant choices for the filter. We purchased the plants from claremont and one established also the fish. This pond is now thriving with crystal clear water and very healthy fish. We have just built a small wildlife pond after disturbing a lot of frogs during garden clearance. We visited Claremont today just before closing and again offered good advice on plant choices. We will be returning one established for a few snails.

Genuine and helpful family run business.I was convinced I needed to buy a Pondvac but after chatting to Richard he offered to hire me his pump which was brilliant at emptying my pond. First class service and because he didn't force a product on me that was unsuitable for the purpose I will return for all my pond needs....and probably still buy a pond vac in the future as it was cheaper here than anywhere on the internet! Plus you get the benefit of their knowledge and advice. Thank you

Fantastic for the pond enthusiast. We purchased some nice healthy pond plants that have taken well and even got a couple of snails for free :) The prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended.

Great local pond supplies business. Very good range of aquatic plants, I just called for oxygenators for my wildlife pond but bought several marginals I’ve been unable to get elsewhere. Very helpful friendly staff. Well stocked with everything needed for all kinds of water gardens. So pleased this is virtually on my doorstep, I’ll be back very soon.
