The ZipYard Toton (inside Tesco Extra Toton)

Costly quote to hem a dress...nearly £20! No measuring or fitting required as I was chopping the bottom of a maxi to make it a midi. This review is in no way reflective of any other work they may do. I did not go out of my way to put this review on here, nor do I go out of way to place negative reviews. I was sent a review request so thought it fair to respond to the service I had received; the phone quote. I have no wish to damage the business and would still consider them for future alterations.

I’ve just received my bridesmaids dress back from here and I’m so pleased with it - it was a little too long and needed the shoulders altering but it fits perfectly now! Tina was amazing and really gentle when I went for my appointment, I really appreciate them squeezing me in only a month before the big day, the whole process felt super easy and fast and I couldn’t recommend them enough! I was over the moon with a memory cushion created from wife's late father's cardigan! This place is fantastic, had a cocktail dress that needed taking up . It has a few layers to it and a split up the back . The lovely lady at this place did a amazing job you never would have known it had been altered. It was the perfect length I recommend this place 100% . Thank you

Tina to the rescue!With little more than a week before Prom, my daughter decided her dress was too long and worried that she might trip up on the night. Whilst shopping at Tesco, I noticed ZipYard in the back left corner and in desperation decided to ask whether there was any way they could help.Tina couldn't be kinder and said that they could but with and express charge of £10 on top of the alteration fee. This was more than reasonable to divert potential disaster! We went in the next day to measure the alteration and within a week was able to collect (they text when the garment is ready). The dress now fits perfectly and you wouldn't even know it had been altered. I would definitely take garments there again and recommend them wholeheartedly!

Amazing experience with The Zip Yard. The seamstress is excellent, did a fantastic job on my coat sleeves which are now the perfect length. Better stitching than the original. Definitely be back with more items. Thanks!
