The 1-Star rating is in no way a reflection on the staff, who are great, but a rating of some genius management type" who thinks Screwfix doesn't need to keep 'screws' in stock.......I mean

I've been in today to buy some Downlights for a dining room, the guy serving me couldn't have been more helpful and saved me some money in the process

I have my husband on home hemo dialysis and tried to phone also get on your website to order £79 kitchen taps Tried for 4 hours and no Joy so decided to go into store. No one in the store a lady on the door asked if I had ordered on line. I explained that the website wouldn’t let me click and collect. She said it’s company policy not to let me buy in store. I have spent quite a lot of money at this store. I think if you can afford to turn customers away you don’t deserve the business.

Purchased 2 thumb lock bathroom door handles, when I tried to replace the existing ones I had fitted with the Screwfix ones they would not work. So I phoned up and explained, I then ending up having to go into the store to show them the issue. Eventually discovered ALL the Screwfix INTERNAL bathroom door handles require a 3 or 5 lever door lock also fitted inside the door to work?! Since when do internal doors require high security 3 or 5 lever mortice door locks? Is this so burglars can't use your toilet? No mention of this on any of their bathroom door handle pages or descriptions and surely a massive over kill not to mention the extra cost and work involved chiselling out the door to fit the additional locking mechanism. Spoke to the instore manager who turned up with face paint on........Painted as a clown! Quite appropriate for the product they try and sell I thought. Ended up purchasing replacements online elsewhere. Very disappointing experience.Edit: Just wanted to add I've many fine visits & good service this is more aimed at the product and then the resultant after sales that occurred on this occasion.

Excellent and quick service. Will definitely use again. Busy when I was there though was still served within a minute. Best to order online and collect from store.

I called in to the Doncaster store today to return a pair of boots under there guarantee. I was greeted by the duty manager with a very present are you ordering or collecting but that all changed when I said I was returning these boots. Her manner changed I got a very curt what's wrong with them. To which i pointed out the hole in the top if the boot. She then did not say anything and started to type on the computer. After filling in a sticker she gave me a carrier bag and said put the boots in here no please or thank you. Then asked if I wanted the same pair again or a different one. I replied some please and was greeted with the guarantee is from the date you purchased the boots not from now. I replied I did know that and off she went to get a new pair.If that is how your customer relations works heven help the company. Such a shame as I have been using this branch since it opened and have never had a problem like this before. When I have returned things in the past it has always been very sorry about that and hope you will continue to use our store.

Great in store experience every time. Staff friendly and very informative. Had the pleasure of being served by Paul today who was really helpful towards me taking numerous items to my car. 5* customer service.

Got there on a hot Saturday without a booking but the guy at the door was very helpful, found the item i wanted and directed me to the counter yo pay for it. All socially distanced too. Great service

Friendly staff always ready to help.Catalogues at hand with a massive range of equipment, tools and basically anything needed for most jobs.Also things you probably wouldn't think they would stock at very competitive prices.If it's not in stock today, it will be tomorrow. Items ordered in very quickly, or reserved at another branch.Check them out.
