Glascote Social Club

Had A 40th birthday party on September 9th 23 lovely sized room but the air conditioning was not on as we self catered I phoned ahead to request air con to be on because of the buffet when we arrived to set up room it was on but then it seemed when the bar opened it was off and we had guests who were there the previous week at a wedding and said the air con wasn’t working then so why wasn’t this addressed for the next venue especially knowing how hot it was going to be as knowing we had a heat wave we had to throw so much food away because did not want to risk it being out in the heat with no air con on but the air conditioner was working in the other room for club members so needless to say this put a dampener on our evening as everyone far to hot we hired the room knowing it had air con what a disappointment

Great club, friendly atmosphere and cheap drinks.

Nice local working mans club good for wedding receptions or a night out non members welcome there is a small fee if you are not a member. If you aren't a member make sure your signed in if you are going to play bingo. Prices are reasonable for drinks they do a small selection of snacks ask at the bar. Staff are friendly.

Attended the wake of my nephew. All fine until Bar manager called police whilst mourners watching slide show video of the deceased. Police liaised with the family. No arrests made as there was no reason too! Seems staff would rather waste police resources than communicate with the mourners that they want the clubhouse back for members by 6pm. Clearly this caused the family a great deal of stress and further heartache and cost as buffet had to be gathered up by mourners or left. From what we have now heard, this has happened to other families. Police were very apologetic but obviously had to attend when called. Glascote social club clearly don't know how to offer a service to their community. Communication was all that was required. Bar manager had no people skills and Infact proceeded to lie to mourners before closing the bar shutters and only then admitting to what she had done. Shameful and disrespectful woman.Unfortunately I can't leave this without pressing 1 star. They don't deserve it. Despicable staff! Don't trust them with your money, particularly if you want to grieve your loved ones.

Lovely club, very spacious. Nice and clean and good prices on the drinks. We were there for the lads darts match. There are pool and snooker tables in the room we were in. I think there is a concert room the other side of the building. Right behind the Aldi supermarket you use the back section of their car park so loads of spaces.

Large, modern, smart, function room. Drinks very reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Good car park.

Lovely, family orientated, relaxed, with live music at the weekends.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour at a funeral wake all sat watching a family video in more or less silence and the police turn up because the bar staff said they were threatened which 100% did not happen majority tipped the staff but from other conversations this is not the first time it has happened come 4 o’clock when the members want to come in everyone’s kicked out…. Funny how it was that time when the police turned up! Absolutely shameful
