The Old House At Home
Just been here today and the carvery was gorgeous. But the steak my partner had was ridiculous! This was apparently a 4oz steak. It definitely isn't as it was so thin. He also asked it to be cooked medium and it came back VERY well done. 1/3 of the steak was pure fat. He also waited over 40 mins for it; whilst we were told to just go get your carvery

I have driven past this pub once a week for about 20 years,Really wish I'd visited before, friendly staff, good choice of firm favourites on the menu. Food was delicious,It was quite busy, but service was good.I was pleasantly surprised by the place as honestly wasn't expecting much, but the place proved me wrong.Will be stopping here again.

We always receive a warm welcome. Staff are lovely and service is excellent. Food is good quality pub grub with generous portions. We both had steak, mushroom and onion chiabata with chips. The chiabata was overflowing with very tender and delicious steak! Would highly recommend!

Visited at lunchtime, although food is good and plenty, also people are very pleasant, but would prefer room to be warmer in colder weather.

The southern fried burger and beef burger were brilliant and the garlic bread was delicious! Pimms was also perfect! Will definitely be coming back:)

This is lovely pub. Good food and always a friendly welcome and great service. We often pop in just for a drink but have also enjoyed a few good meals there now too. Good value for money and worth a visit any time of year.

Nice cosy local pub. Good selection of well kept beers, and a great looking food menu, we didn't actually eat off the menu as we were there for a party and a buffet was provided. Would definitely give the menu a go though.Staff were friendly and professional, and there is a huge car park.Will definitely be paying another visit.

Food was lovely. We decided to eat here instead of the safari park.There was an offer on for 2 meals for £11 or £12.I did enjoy my chicken dish although I was not too keen on the peppercorn sauce.My partner had the sausage and mash and it was very tasty :)For dessert I got the lemon meringue pie which I quite liked and paired it with a good cuppa.Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area, especially if you are enroute to or coming back from the safari park.
