Cannot express just how awful this was.Soggy, undercooked chip. Literally opened the paper and they came out as one ball of greasy, white mess. Not even beige.Scallop was soggy the batter literally stayed in the paper. Although it wasn't really batter, just mush.Pie was luke warm on the outer and cold in centre with an undercooked doughy base.Kids meal had yet more soggy chips and some cold nuggs.Curry sauce and savaloy was good but a bit hard to mess either up!Never again.

Fish was disgusting, hard and rubbery, very overpriced, the chips were full of bad bits, and mushy peas tastless and so snall overall disgustingly overpriced for bad food. My first and last visit.

Ordered off deliveroo, had a problem as there was not an option to order just chips which is what one of us wanted so i phoned and they sorted it for me no problem.The food was delivered on time and was still lovely and warm and tasted lovely.Cant fault this place at all.

Yesterday we have bought a small tray with mixed meat. It was absolutely disgusting!!! Hardly any meat at all - just tiny scraps from the very edges that cannot be picked up with a fork, and all very dry and burned like coals !!! Absolutely unfit for eating! And this is not the first time. Last time, instead of chips, there were pieces of fried dough from the fish! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND NERVES - NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THE GREGORY'S FISH BAR!!!!!! As to the stars, we would rate them is - 10 (minus 10), not even 1!!!

Dear GregoryWhere do I even start?For context I got, 1 Can of Dr Pepper, A large Cod and chips, and 2 pieces of southern fried chicken with chips.The Cod was slightly below average, there isn't really much to say. Cooked well, but lacked anything extra, it gets a 2/5.The Chicken pieces were also below average, it just tasted like some flower was wacked on with abit of salt, not pepper or spice (or anything nice) to be found. Again cooked well, no pink bits so fair play, but the skin was quite slimey, with bones popping out. I suspect this was sitting in the heater for longer than it should have been. You also have to pay 59p extra, PER PIECE OF CHICKEN, to get a breast over a leg. Never ever heard of this at any takeaway before, absolute joke on that one. 2/5.The worst aspect was the chips. Portion was fair, but the chips were soggy, undercooked and lacked any flavour. I paid 50p for bbq sauce. I was expecting it to be in some sort of plastic cup, with the sauce in, but no, I paid 50p for the box to just be covered in sauce, creating an absolute mess. This is even worse as they did not provide any napkins or forks ect, despite me asking for it, so I finished off the meal looking like a toddler. In fairness I'm a messy eater anyway, but this was something else. Chips get a 1.5, without the sauce it would of been a 1.The can of dr pepper was £1.45!! I get prices have gone up, but a crate of 6 dr pepper cans in a supermarket is around £5, so I expect being a business you get it cheaper, which makes it even more of a joke.The prices on paper seem okay, but the little extras they add in make it way more expensive than it has any right to be me.I will admit service was speedy. I got mine delivered and it only took 5 mins for the food to be packaged and ready to be collected.Gregory, you get a 2. There's some serious room for improvement here, this is a sub standard chippy and you should be ashamed to have your name attached too it.

Wanted a kebab but only had the end chunksRoe cut so thin and batter overcooked BINFish fried to almost cremation could barely cut it BINFish cake dry and inedible BINChips goodOne scallop ok 2nd one overcooked BINCurry sauce up in price size of pot reduced.Not a good meal at all after 21 years of using Gregory’s will definitely not be going again.
