Chesham Autos Motor Repairs & MOT Station

I hired a car from Chesham - booked it yesterday afternoon and picked it up this morning. The car had been cleaned (inside and out) and was immaculate. Fiona at reception was really friendly and helpful - I'd also been impressed by her the previous day whilst sorting out the details of the hire.Found the rate to be very reasonable, especially considering I was hiring the vehicle over the Bank Holiday weekend.All in all, top service, top car and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to potential hirees! Update: issue has been fixed in 3 minutes by another garage by simply clearing the DTC (exactly what I had asked the garage to do in the first place). Also, no need to replace the battery as it was confirmed to be 100% correct for my car (ironically the garage had insisted on replacing it for £270).Original review: I've been using this garage for 3 years for MOT only and had no problems. However, this time I asked them to also fix the start/stop issue I was having after replacing my battery. They charged £80 just to tell me that my battery was not a start/stop one. Day later I checked my battery specs - and it turned out to be specifically a start/stop battery. I called back and now they told me that the battery might be wrong". They never gave any details on why it was not correct for my car except for telling me that it was not showing up on some web site they used. I asked for specifics like amps/voltage/anything to understand what is correct/incorrect for my car

I thought I had an issue with my clutch and was referred to Chesham by Halfords at short notice. They looked at my car straight away and informed me everything was ok and gave me some advice which I found very useful. This was all for free which was unexpected.
