V Bar
It’s a pricey bar, but in general the service is prompt and the staff is friendly. It’s obviously gonna be loud in the evenings, but tbh that’s expected. Tried a cocktail and that was okay, but honestly not really worth the £6 when you consider how close it is to Slug and Lettuce. All in all a decent place to go later on in the evening when you’re not feeling a club but the quieter, more mainstream pubs are closing.

Visited the town for a day and had a great Saturday night out in the V bar. Great rock and nu metal music, good drinks and friendly people.

V Bar
Very small but excellent bar. Good alternative crowd often playing music from rock/metal through to all sorts of classics. Good selection of spirits, some lagers and ales. Part of the three wise monkeys and twisters.

Albeit rather small - V Bar is always a must on a night out. Providing a mix of live acts and DJ nights, reasonably priced drinks you'll be hard pressed to be unimpressed. My only issue with it (as is most peoples) is that for a bar which can have more than 100 people in it at times, there is only one very small mens toilet consisting of a urinal and cubicle.

I've been in V Bar many times over the past few years and it's always a good night out. The perfect cure to all the faceless chain pubs and bars, V Bar is independent and you know it the second you walk in the door. The staff are efficient and always having a laugh with eachother and the customers, which helps set up the great atmosphere. Music is generally party oriented with splashes of classics, chart, indie, alternative and straight up cheese all thrown in.Seems to pull in a decent crowd of people, a real variety of looks and ages and it's incredibly rare that there's any trouble.Drinks are priced and made well, decent selection of bottles, beers and cocktails. Can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic little bar! The music and general feel of this bar is very welcoming to all people and they offer a wide range of drinks at a reasonable price. The only downside" if you could call it that is that it's quite a small place so can become very crowded."

V Bar
Expensive drinks, cramped venue, overly loud music with dj's not really liking to take recommendations. It's an ok place when the upstairs lounge is open but in general the drinks are 3 pound 50 more than elsewhere if not even more than that so that alone means avoid.

The floors are sticky, the music is good. Great place to go when everywhere else is either closed or you want a louder end to the evening.

Drinks are far too pricey for the quality and selection on offer. Staff always seem to have a half-arsed attitude and the bouncers seem to abuse their power. Far too small, no outdoor drinking/smoking area so the high street quickly fills with drunk under 20s creating a hazard for passing traffic. The stairs are dangerous and no one has a choice as the toilets are on the 2nd floor... not the most intelligent idea considering most ladies wear heels on a night out! I used to love this place but it needs a makeover, desperately.
