The Gill, car park

Located just outside the town centre this car park is ideal for access to the local shops. It doesn't get as busy as the more central carparks.

Good value for money and in a beautiful location.

Payment machine out of order. No use if you don't have a phone!!

Blue badge disabled drivers only get 1 hour free parking. If you only park for 50 minutes then you have to buy a 1 hour ticket anyway, otherwise you can't prove what time you arrived. South Lakes District Council who operate the car park seems to have one of the worst blue badge policies in the country. The pricing tariff was inconsistent too. The adjacent toilet block had a faulty door lock on the disabled toilet, which meant the user was at risk of somebody else walking in.

It's a carpark, you park cars & I don't know what else to say about it!!!
