Ordered a cheese and onion slice through Deliveroo. Wenzel's sent a steak slice.I am a vegetarian. I have never eaten meat. But I have now.Just appalled.Note: Deliveroo's response was a weak apology and a credit for £3.35. Absolutely stunningly bad service.

I ordered a Wenzels from the Brentwood store for a birthday lunch. The customer service provided by Rebecca was impeccable. The order we placed got lost with the driver but Rebecca quickly rectified the situation whilst staying in commication with me the whole time. She even left a note and some freebies to apologise for deliveroo's mistake. I would rate the customer service 10/10 and would definitely order again.

I have been a customer at this store. I was not happy that they have increased their prices more than twice in one year. I compared their Belgian buns to other shops and found Wenzels to be a lot smaller with less icing yet every few months they cost more. Brands who seek to become national chains achieve success only by being part of each local community. Not by seeking short term profits at a cost-of-living time. I urge the management to examine current practices and to benchmark local supermarkets.

I love Wenzel’s and would like to leave a nice review but I can’t. We order from them sooo often. Half a times everything is just great, fresh and even has a nice personal note with a smily face(thank you for that). And other times it’s all just wrong, items missing, my sandwich is almost always not fresh(tuna baguette sandwich). Stop sending me day old sandwiches please! I don’t feel like it’s a norm to get stale food.

For the majority of takeaway orders Wenzels is delicious. However, at least 1 in 5 deliveries we are met with half prepared food. I suspect there’s a staff member that doesn’t fancy doing the task to spec on certain shifts.Today we’ve had 3 breakfast sandwiches arrive, all without butter, ketchup and not cut in half. Plus the sausages were left whole. May sound trivial, but when you’ve paid for a breakfast sandwich it should be buttered and have the condiments added you requested. It’s obvious laziness by the preparer.They offer a great range and the food is good when at standard, but until the store begin ensuring the staff are preparing the food to spec, they’re down at least 3 stars in my opinion. It’s a shame.

Following on from my original review I am adding to this... can the woman who served today at 13:45 on 26th October 2023 please be investigated as she should be sacked!! If i see her serving I will not go in but today thought let me see if she has sorted her attitude out, nope... even worse than before and was starting an argument with an older lady. Please sack her Wenzels, I am in shock!! White, young girl, mousy hair colour. She is pushing your customers away Wenzels.Used to be a regular customer until I noticed the attitude of one of the female members of staff, mousy coloured hair, the attitude on her, basically looked me up & down & was deliberately taking ages to sort my order out. Will not be returning for that reason.

Ordered today and the ham in the sandwiches smelt awful and looked off. I did contact them and they refused to refund. Photo below. Would you eat this ham????

can sadly only confirm what others have said. the one lady who’s short, with mousy face and brown hair is incredibly rude and argumentative. i use this place to pick up good to go orders. if there are other members of staff they are happy to let me collect when the app says. for some reason this member of staff always barks at me to come back later, later times than it says on the app. i tried explaining this difference and was very quickly talked over.this member of staff also seems absolutely desperate to tell people to swipe collect on the order, even if you say about five times you’ve already done that. then she’ll refuse to give you the order unless you read out the entire thing. ridiculous. had the power of being a baker gone to their head?

Dreadful service, only one person serving.Belgian bun was stale and hard.Won't be back to this outlet plenty of better independant cafes offering better food and service locally.
