My husband and I came here for the Sunday carvery with my brother in law and his partner and we will NOT be returning, despite my husband and me visiting at least once a month! When we got there on this occasion we parked our cars and a lady that worked there was leaving (you can vaguely see her in the photo I attach), upon leaving she was looking at us as if we were doing something wrong by parking in the carpark. My husband was waiting for her to leave so that he could park in a spot when she rolled her window down and told him that the car park was private and we couldn’t park there!? He explained that we were visiting the restaurant and she said it wasn’t a customer carpark – which it is. After some back and forth she rolled back her window, PULLED A FINGER UP AT MY HUSBAND, and skidded out of the carpark. How can a colleague at the restaurant treat their customers like this (I actually think she was a manager/owner, which makes it worse)??? Eventually we parked, got out to go in and asked another member of staff if the car park was for customers, as expected, they confirmed that it was. After having our carvery, we paid and left to find that the manager/owner/staff member had blocked us in to be spiteful (see photo reference). This was beyond childish and just shows the mentally of this establishment, we had to go back into the restaurant and ask the lady to move her car – she laughed, told us to wait and then came to move the care with a smirk on her face.We have always parked in the carpark, all other customers have too, we did nothing wrong yet were treated with the utmost disrespect. Not been back since, and will discourage anyone to do so too.

Been here before, carvery had been closed for a while. It's buffet style but the carvery is always well stocked and piping hot. Nice atmosphere as well. Handy for the superstores and Colliers Wood tube station.

Honestly terrible. It's gone down hill since the last time I was here. The waitress dropped my chips onto the unclean table (bench out the front) and then pushed them back onto my plate saying that the table was infact clean. No regards to food hygiene. The burger was full of gristle and totally unedible. Honestly tragic and would never eat there again. Such a shame as it was Honestly pretty good a few years back.

First impressions I like this venueYou order food at the bar, and pay before you eat and drinkone's Meal is brought to your table.Quick service under 5 minutesAttentive staffNo sooner have I eaten than my. empty plates are whisked awaySOMETHING I HATE.All the more so, once I had finished my drink the empty glass was whisked away within seconds of it touching the table as if they wanted you outIf it was not by chance that ICame here on a Saturday when a brass band was playing under the squares bandstand which added to the ambience I would have given this place Two starsWill be back to try out their Sunday carvery next time to see if it fairs better to other venues I frequent.Post scrip, Sunday Buffet disappointing

unfortunately we attended the calvary on the last day it was opened. Its closing due to the rising costs of heating and food.. its a great shame as it was the best calvary around.. and the staff worked tirelessly.. Thankfully the cafe section remains open...

Went here as they were restarting their carvery. What a waste of time and money.Very cheap meat, full of gristle, hard to cut and tasteless. Frozen roast potatoes. Was only allowed one small cube of stuffing and one very soft Yorkshire pudding. Limited choice of vegetables. On arrival, no greeting just pointed in the direction of a table for 4. Waited ages for order to be taken, no one asked if the meal was OK and quite happily took our money but no farewell or thank you for coming. We had 3 adult carveries and 1 child carvery, plus all had a soft drink. It was nearly £80, and it should have been more, but they were offering a 20% discount that day.Small restaurant, quite cramped and hard to get about with a plate of food.Hygiene was quite concerning, the carver not only coughing around the food, but picking up food and putting in his mouth, no hand washing. If you want a carvery, try Toby's in Mitcham or Ganley's just down the road in Morden, cheaper, plentiful, choice, clean, and welcoming with a great atmosphere.

Quaint café/grill in old windmill building and nice exterior covered extension.Excellent service, and very reasonably priced food!I had the half a vegetarian breakfast and nicely done toasts! Was filling and nice! Tea was seriously spot on. Nicely brewed and smooth! One of the best teas I have tasted!By that I mean, I could taste the tea's natural quality without having the urge to add a little sugar. I also got 2 and a half cups from the tea pot!Ambience nice and cosy. If you want to feel like you're at a day theme park, just step into the extension at the front of the café/grill.Overall nice food at a very reasonable price near a windmill. You don't need to go to Holland now!
