Dragonfly Groomswear and Formal Hire

Only use this service if you have time prior to the wedding to try on and inspect every item yourself (and go to the shop to pick up an alternative) because in our case they did no kind of check/quality control, just received the suits from their supplier and handed them over. Unfortunately, as we had groomsmen flying in from abroad, we paid the price on our wedding day. Issues we had: wrong sizes supplied to us (varying from uncomfortable trousers being several sizes too small on the waistband to the point that one of the suits was unwearable as the legs were so long the groomsman was tripping over them), a huge hole in one of the trousers, and supplying us with the wrong colour waistcoat for the groom (the final issue was luckily caught on pick-up and rectified, despite the incompetent shop assistant trying to insist it was the correct colour). Worst of all, Dragonfly couldn’t have cared less after they got their money. Despite having told them several times that we had groomsman flying from abroad the day before and therefore trying on wasn’t going to be possible, they told us that none of these issues were their problem as we should have inspected and tried everything on before the day and they were somehow therefore not responsible for anything, even a massive gaping hole in the seat of the trousers? As stated, only use this service if you have the time to fix all their mistakes, otherwise, avoid like the plague.

We hired 7 suits from Dragonfly. They were beautiful suits and they were able to provide us with suitable ties and pockets squares too. Initially we did have an issue whereby some trousers didn’t fit, but Chris was able to order these quickly and still arrived in plenty of time! The only comment I have is that, when the boys went to try the suits, there was very little size choice in store, so we’re unable to really visualise what they would look like… nevertheless they were perfect for the lovely summers day we had! We rented suits from Dragonfly for my wedding last year and we were impressed with the level of service we received. The communication was really good from start to finish, and it was clear what we were buying, when information was needed from us, and when things needed to be picked up or dropped off. This was especially helpful given the number of things to keep track of during the wedding planning process. The staff were really helpful and accommodating, even when we had some difficulties with getting measurements from someone who was out of the country.They had lots of options for us to choose from in terms of styles and colours, which made it easy for us to find something suitable. The suits we tried on were all well made and comfortable, and looked great on the wedding day. The staff were also really helpful when it came to pairing the suits with accessories. As someone with very little natural style, I appreciated their advice and suggestions.Overall, we feel that Dragonfly was a good choice for wedding suits. They were professional, friendly, and very easy to work with. They made such a good impression that my best man has also decided to go with them for his wedding later this year!

We hired 5 suits from here and they were brilliant, fitted perfectly and everything was as order. Would recommend to anyone for their big day!

So, one star means that it is a fake review? I'm afraid it is not. It just reflect the bad experience as customers. The suit that we hired was so badly fitted that our bestman had to use a his own suit.

Appalling service.My partner and I looked into different options to hire a suit for my wedding and we finally decided to go with Dragonfly. We were not expecting the awful service they would be providing, the dreadful quality of the suits and the absolutely lack of insight and responsibility from Dragonfly.We rented six suits from Dragonfly and we had issues with three of them, to the point that one of them could not be worn on the day of the wedding. Three of the groomsmen were coming from abroad and we were aware that they would not have much time to make any amendments to get the suits to look perfect on them. It was a risk we were willing to take within a degree of reasonability. We were not expecting that there would be absolutely no quality control from Dragonfly and they would hand over to us suits that did not meet the agreed measurements and colours or the minimum standards of decency.These were the issues that were identified:- One of the waistcoats was the wrong colour. This had to be solved by my wife when she collected the suits. She actually had to grab the correct waistcoat from the shop as the employee was unable to identify the right colour.- One of the trousers was not the agreed length, to the point that it was unwearable and the best man had to wear his own suit at our wedding, ruining the whole experience of having all the groomsmen and groom wearing the same suits, and ruining our wedding pictures.- One of the trousers was not the agreed waist size. Thankfully, we managed to sort this out swapping trousers with another groomsmen.- One of the trousers had a massive hole in seat of the trousers. This had to be sewed by a bridesmaid at the venue where the ceremony was taking place on the morning of our wedding.We informed Dragonfly of all these issues prior to returning the suits, so they would have the opportunity to check and confirm all the issues that we had flagged.To date, Dragonfly is still to confirm whether:- They are responsible for checking the suits before they are handed over to ensure they are the agreed measurements.- They are responsible for checking the suits before they are handed over to ensure they are the agreed colours.- They are responsible for checking the suits before they are handed over to ensure they meet the minimum standards of quality and decency.I can understand that people make errors and that we didn't have much margin to sort out any issues, but this kind of poor quality control and attention to detail together with their poor customer service and absolute lack of insight into their responsibility is absolutely unacceptable.

My experience with Dragonfly has been superb from start to finish!Chris was extremely helpful in assisting me with my choice of suits for my group for rental, and highlighted the full plan clearly in the first appointment regarding costs, second fitting, collection and drop off for the suits - he also went that extra step after collecting the suits to order in a new jacket and some spare waistcoats for my best man due to a change in sizing.I would thoroughly recommend Dragonfly for anyone looking to purchase/rent - especially for anyone doing this for the first time!
