I came to Medici to visit my daughter, and I must say the facilities and the staff are amazing! The manager is knowledgeable, kind and open-hearted. The common areas are clean and well-organised, which you can't say for many other student accommodations. Overall this is a great place for Nottingham students!

Great sized rooms and nicely furnished. Communal space has a great study area so you dont need to go to use the uni library

Emma, is absolutely amazing at reception, she always gets things done straight away for us. Makes us feel welcoming and she’s just an absolute star. Hope she continues to stay at Medici <3

My daughter moved in here a couple of weeks ago and I've heard nothing but praise for the room and the staff! Aarti especially has been so helpful throughout the process. Move in day was understandably busy and stressful but she, and the other staff, went out of their way to help out and answer our many questions. We had a slot to unload the car, which we then had to move to a car park as they unfortunately don't have one, but the staff helped us move all of our belongings up to the room in record time and pointed us to the most convenient car parks.Overall I'd recommend any prospective students to consider Medici as one of your top choices for accommodation!

I am the parent of a student who stayed here last year.Good points - brand new accommodation with clean bright rooms and with lovely staff (Aarti and Suhil - security especially).Students can contact someone 24/7 if needed.Staff put on a welcome event which allowed students to get to know each other - really nice for first timers away from home.Very safe environment and is a 5 mins walk away from the city centre. When visiting you receive a warm welcome. If you want to sign up for the next year, they will honour the existing price. Not so good points - The accommodation is expensive and the laundry facilities are costly. When charging a premium rent it is not unreasonable to expect premium accommodation in return!Appreciate it was a new build but there were many teething problems eg no working shower and/or toilet for weeks, no hot water regularly throughout the year, some times no water at all, issues with the heating and burst pipes resulting in flooding which damage bedding that had to be replaced twice, fire doors were also incorrectly fitted.Another negative was the state of the kitchen. Two students in particular left it in an absolutely disgusting state daily, resulting in stress for other students living there. Despite attempts by some students/management, there was no resolution. After 4 months away from Medici (and cleaning the kitchen before leaving), we came in August to make a handover to find the kitchen was still in a disgusting state - there were a large number of dead flies in a totally iced up freezer, pigeon poo on window sills, cooking oil over the work surfaces, mould in the fridges, over flowing bins containing maggots, dirty dishes in a sink full of rancid water. Finally it has been a painful experience to obtain a refund of the security deposit, with details on what is required for the reimbursement sketchy - you need to be persistent.

The rooms and the kitchens in this accommodation are very nice In terms of appeal and the storage provided is very practical and useful for students. The accommodation manager has been very useful in terms of sorting out any issues that come with the building being a new build and has also been very accommodating and easy to talk to in general - looking forward to another year here

Giving five stars to Emma only she has been the best thing to ever happen to Medici, she is efficient and unlike many of the staff and security we have had here she is useful and get things done, she has really improved the environment here and will most likely be the reason that many people rebook next year if she doesn’t stay working here at Medici the moral will go drastically down and students will continue to be unhappy with their living situation

This is my second year staying here, and the main reason I did was because of the staff. Everyone is warm, friendly and always open for a chat. Maintenance issues are quickly resolved when needed and all common areas are kept clean. The best accommodation in Nottingham from what I've seen.

I lived at Medici for the academic year 22/23, room sizes were decent and all of the security team day to night were great to deal with in all aspects and are always willing to help which made it a nicer experience. However I wouldn’t recommend living here especially if you want complaints dealt with as I’ve been try to get a response from any sort of management since April. The buildings had rats when I lived here and one even got through my window despite living in a self contained studio meaning I had to deal with it at 5am, previous to this there was no pest control regulations in the building despite seeing numerous rats in and around the bin areas due to the large number of students, after a week of being at home following the rat incident when I got back my studio wasn’t cleaned or dealt with like i had been told it would have been leaving rat remains on the windowsilI for an entire week. I didn’t have a freezer from September move in until March which is an essential amenity for a uni student. The laundry room and lifts are always difficult to deal with/slow or out of service and the common areas have litter and loads of fruit flies in general. In the year I lived here there was ceilings falling through floors and leaks on various floors. It’s a ridiculously expensive accom for what you get included especially with the increase in prices and tenancy lengths this year and I wouldn’t recommend considering if you do need to make a complaint it goes disregarded by homes for students and Medici management.
