Fitted a new chain and brake pads right on closing time on a Friday, got me out of a tricky situation. Went back at 9 am next day for brake bleed, all done straight away. Excellent service and staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. From Mark.

Excellent service from South Downs Bikes yesterday and today.Took some wheel in to have disc rotors installed and then to check an issue with my cassette install. Both quick and easy jobs for the guys there but it helped me out no end!Thanks!!!

Was finally persuaded by mates to spend some money on a proper bike service for my trek fuel ex 5 series. Just got it back and it rides really well, nice smooth gear changes and reassuringly firm brakes. Suspension works really well and so far I’m really pleased.

What a lovely shop this is. My old bike required a new tyre and inner tube.... I rely on my bike to get me backwards and forwards to everywhere. I called in here to see if they could help me.. It was absolutely no trouble to them and within twenty minutes my old bike had a complete new tyre and inner tube and was ready for me to carry on with my routine transport. The price was so reasonable. The staff never minded my scruffy bike being in their lovely shop amongst all their other beautiful modern new bikes. I love this shop and would not hesitate to ask them to help me again. Well done South Down Bikes.

Excellent bike shop. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I particularly recommend for female cyclists who want advice on how bikes can be adjusted for their bodies. I had been cycling in the wrong position for years and had been to physio as a result. With a slight adjustment and women's seat it completely changed my experience. Thank you South Downs Bikes!

Broadwater shop Cant align brakes or bleed them. Can't route wires or cables correctly.Had to result in fixing bike myself after they failed.Rude to my Son when he asked for help.Goring shop sold my son incompatable parts sold him some more bits. That were still incompatable. Wouldn't take them back.Ashington shop fantastic when buying bikes great freindly service. Incapable of fixing my brakes.Look around good cheaper mechanics about.Just think how well owner could do if his staff didn't let him down

Absolutely fantastic. Very well laid out shop. Customer service was really good and friendly. I needed to get my bike inner tube replaced and fitted I went in and within about 10 minutes I was out and one happy customer. Very reasonable as well I would rather go to them as they are my local bike shop.Brilliant service I couldn't recommend more I will be coming back to get my bike serviced and maybe making a few purchases in shop.Thank you so much
