Jay's Cafe
Phoned for food at 2:40 and they hadn’t arrived by 3:45 after saying it should be less than 40 minutes. I called back and they said they’re were just leaving and they took another 30 minutes after this. By this time I wanted to cancel the order but the cafe was closed so I couldn’t get through to anyone on the phone. The food finally arrived at 4:15 and was terrible. The Cajun panini was dry and the chips were stale. The chicken mayo panini was average at best.

A clean and nicely decorated cafe.Staff very friendly and accommodating.Our morning breakfast for every other day. The all day breakfast I think it was. was cooked well. Not burnt or greasy.Ooo and their luxury hot chocolate came with a mound of chocolate and marshmallows. Yummy!!

We had a lovely lunch there. Food was cooked to perfection and the staff were so helpful and presentation was spot on. Toilets were sparkling clean. I'd definitely recommend and we'll be back for more.

The staff were super friendly, the cafe decor was unique and nice but not overwhelming. I brought a mentally disabled friend for a lunch, and they were patient and understanding. The food portions were largr and very filling. Good value for money and definitely the kind of establishment that is a good one to have in a community.

Spent £6 on “make it double” baked potato beans and cheese to recieve a small baked tattie on its own with no salad or anything.£6 a bit steep for hardly anything in the box.

One of the best burgers and shakes I've had in a long time.Friendly staff, great atmosphere for a small shop. Interesting music choices. Highly recommended to visit!

Recently changed to the hourglass Restaurant. Always a warm welcome and lovely atmosphere. Excellent coffee. Food is fantastic, always fresh, big portions and well priced. Best chips I've tasted in a long time! Would keep going back and would definitely recommend x

Stopped here on a bike tour of SW Scotland. Coffee and Breakfast delicious and huge. Best tasting toast! Staff very polite and professional.

Been twice here. I knocked a star off as second time I went the home made chips had gone from being amazing restaurant quality to limp, soggy, and not the quality I expected. However, I’m a chip fan so for me that’s important but I’m pleased to say this is a great Wee café and it won’t stop me eating here again. I hope Covid isn’t hurting them too bad. Great breakfasts and rolls. Really friendly staff. Just keep the quality up on those chips and I will keep returning. We need to support local businesses as we come oot o this madness. Eat local, support independent places. When I’m back in Ayrshire I will revisit here for an update and a nice roll and slice or a full breakfast.
