SPS Timber Windows

SPS were a pleasure to deal with right through the process. When Simon came to quote it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. There was a long lead time (which we were made aware of right from the beginning) but there was regular communication and updates and our windows were fitted 2 days after they had been made. I never met the fitting team which says it all really - totally trustworthy and they did a great job. The touch up work around the windows was spot on and the windows are of a high quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend SPS to anyone!

We were extremely happy with the service and end product from SPS Windows. We did a lot of shopping around initially and SPS came back with a fairly priced quote but with a vastly superior product. From the time that the installation was booked in everything went extremely smoothly. We had 5 windows fitted in total and the fitter was very professional keeping the house clean and dust free at all times. Our new windows are now in and we are enjoying lots of positive comments from all our neighbours! Out of 5 stars we award 6!

We cannot recommend SPS Timber Windows enough. Simon Walker definitely knows his job inside/out. We were very impressed. Although it takes a few months before the windows are fitted, it is definitely worth the wait. (Drawings are sent out & once Ok'd, the windows are made up & a date for fitting is proposed). We had a traditional sash window (with a bar in the middle)* replaced and a new casement window for the bathroom. *To my knowledge, SPS are the only company that do not use plastic for the middle bar. The windows on our house were 95 years old. They leaked wind and water, but nothing I had seen in aluminium, PVC or even wood looked right.Eventually, I came across a house in the next street having new windows. The windows were the first I'd seen that looked like the originals. By coincidence, the house belonged to friends. When the job was over, I asked what they thought about them and they were effusive with praise.I did some research on the product, was impressed with the specifications and the materials used, and contacted Simon Walker at SPS Timber Windows at once. From that moment, everyone we met or spoke to from SPS had been great.The installation team were terrific. They worked extremely hard, and conscientiously, made very little noise, considering the work required, and were very friendly. Each window was out and in the same day, so the house was secure and weatherproof every night. What astonished and delighted us was that they tidied up, removed the dust covers, and hoovered at the end of every single day. Amazing.Now they’re in, the quality of the windows, and the attention to detail during the installation, is very impressive. The fenestration is correct, as it was originally, and period details, rails and moldings have been recreated to match.Considering the quality of the windows, they are good value for money. Repeat business is the measure of all good companies, and I am so pleased with the work they did three years ago that I ordered a second batch from SPS Timber Windows, this time for the back and side of the house. The quality of their product is as good as ever, but it's the quality of their installers that really impresses. They were friendly, tidy, considerate, incredibly hard working, and left the place spotless. They were not the same team as last time, so it is a credit to Simon and Richard that they find such consistently good people.I said it three years ago, and I still can't recommend them highly enough.

After several quotes to fit new bay and sash windows to my Edwardian property, I selected SPS as they have an excellent local reputation. Appointments were met on time and emails answered promptly. The experience was stress-free from the initial meeting to the windows being completed. The building team assigned to my project was helpful and considerate of working round me. The house was left dust free and livable at the end of each day. The windows have made the house warmer and quieter and improved the overall look of the property. There were no hidden costs lurking on final payment.I have no hesitation in recommending this company

We have used SPS during two stages of the refurbishment of our property,to replace a total of 20 windows plus a set of bifold sliding patio doors and two external doors.We were extremely impressed from the start by Simon's professional expertise and that of his colleague Martin who measured the openings. We continued to be impressed by the courteous and efficient installation team, who worked extremely hard during a cold Winter to fit the windows, and later during a hot summer to fit the remaining windows and doors.The quality of the windows and doors installed are outstanding and have received many compliments from neighbours and visitors.We would have no hesitation in recommending SPS for replacement timber windows and doors.

SPS replaced all of the windows in my conservation area house. I wish all renovation projects could go so smoothly. After many years and much experience with building works, SPS has my highest ever recommendation. Their precision in constructing and detailing the windows means they are indistinguishable from the originals (though much cleaner and sharper looking), while draft-free, energy efficient, and smooth to operate. Installation went like clockwork, the carpenter took great care to protect the work area and clean every day. When there was a small confusion over the specification of a door light, SPS quickly put it right.

I've used SPS Windows twice now (the second time when I moved house). They come in and out very quickly (within a day the windows are taken out and fitted) with dust sheets and covers on the floor so our new carpets were still perfect once they'd left. The finish is fantastic. It takes a long time to get the windows made up (3/4 months) but its worth the wait. I highly recommend them.

SPS' design and installation of my new French windows was an entirely stress-free experience. They were friendly and attentive to my requests for particular features, meticulous in supplying drawings and written estimates; they kept to their predicted timetable and there were no hidden extra costs. The product is of high quality and the installation process was rapid, including one or two followup visits to check on details. Dust was kept to a minimum and as promised the paintwork around the installation was fully restored. Highly recommended.

We have used SPS on two separate occasions to install front and rear windows to Peacock & Co’s Wimbledon Village office. The windows are excellent. But the clear communication and on-time installation, considerately managed with the least possible disruption during our working hours made all the difference. Thank you.
