I recently collected my electric guitar from The Music Dept after opting to have it professionally set-up.Wow. The difference in playability has been a revelation. Everything just feels so right, a pleasure and light years away from how it felt previously. The very reasonable cost is so worth it. With friendly and informative staff on hand throughout the entire experience left me very impressed. Thank you!Wouldn’t hesitate to revisit. Highly Recommend this store!

Music Dept is a perfect service for the local musician. There is always a warm welcome and all enquiries are welcomed with open and valuable advice. The Music Dept has an excellent range of guitars & other instruments, an excellent (and incredibly reasonable priced) workshop service to bring old guitars back to life, and just generally friendly and knowledgeable staff!

I've been using them for 20 years to buy strings and gave bought a guitar there for my son. Today I picked up my Rickenbacker 620 which they've set up and replaced a pick up and put hybrid strings on, and they did a fantastic job. They're also very charming there too
