Garden Makeovers

We recently had our garden landscaped by Scott, John and the Garden Makeovers team. We can’t recommend Scott and his team highly enough. The project was managed very well from start to finish. Scott provided great design, drawings and ideas for what we could do with the space within our Budget. He was very flexible and responsive throughout the planning phase with many rounds of revisions to the original draft before we settled on a final plan. We never felt rushed or pressured into making a final decision on any element, there was definitely a focus on taking the time to get the right result.On site John, Billy, Peter, Damien, Taylor and Josh were brilliant. They:• Worked hard in less than ideal conditions• Showed a great eye for detail and quality• Kept us up to date on progress very regularly• Talked us through what they were doing and why• Came up with and implemented suggestions on how we could enhance the project furtherWe got the strong impression they take real pride in their work and genuinely wanted to deliver a really high quality project for us.On the very few snagging issues we have had, Scott has been excellent and sent someone out to remedy them with no issue at all. The result is an amazing, high quality garden which can now be used by the family all year round. Massive thanks to Scott, John and the team and again, we can't recommend them highly enough.

Garden Makeovers were professional from first contact. They mocked up great drawing of the work needed. Their advice on what would work and what wouldn't was straight forward and demonstrated their knowledge and expertise.A great example of the dedication, professionalism and commitment was when they had to excavate some ground for our patio and there was a hard frost that froze the ground solid. No problem. They brought in some fire pits and thawed it out so they could stay on programme.All the people that came to sight were polite and friendly and they were very tidy and organised, and considered how we could continue to access the house and live our daily lives while the work was ongoing.Scott is easy to deal with and knows his stuff.We've asked Garden Makeovers back to do a few more jobs and will always use them moving forward as I know the work will get done when they say it will and it will be delivered to a high standard every time.Really could not recommend them more. We met with Caitlyn who was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. The team were professional and friendly, works were carried out in an efficient manner and completed earlier than we expected which we were thrilled about. We are delighted with our garden and will be using their services again for any additional works to our garden.

I love my new garden! Garden Makeovers were very professional and friendly throughout the job. From the design through to completion, I have no complaints at all. I was consulted at every stage, everything was made very clear to me throughout. The guys worked hard, arrived promptly every day, arriving when they said they would. They cleared everything away, tidied up after themselves and created my new garden to a very high standard. I have mobility issues and my new garden was designed to accommodate this. I'm looking forward to Spring when I can start making full use of my garden again! I really can't recommend them highly enough.

We had a fantastic experience with Garden Makeovers. From initial contact we were dealt with promptly and professionally by Brian and Scott including an invitation to visit their display in Bothwell to review potential materials for the job. Design was quick and of high quality and pricing and breakdown of costs were supplied early. The work itself was carried out to an extremely high standard with John and the team arriving on time every day and working hard through some poor weather conditions. The quality of work but also the friendliness of the team and daily progress updates made the whole experience fantastic. The work was completed on time, including some additional work that we requested and the team cleaned down every night and again once job was complete. A fantastic company who take pride in their professionalism and should be highly recommended.

My husband and I have recently had the absolute pleasure of having the team from Garden Makeovers carry out work in our garden. The makeover was very extensive and the workmanship of the team was incredibly impressive from start to finish.Initially, we met with Brian to talk through some ideas of what we wanted. Brian listened, really listened, to what we were saying and gave sound advice along the way. Initial plans were drawn up by Brian and these were extremely helpful in allowing us to see what our garden could potentially look like. Despite the plans, nothing was set in stone and we were able to change our minds and add other features along the way. One such feature was to have a raised planter and seating area built. This idea came as a result of having visited Garden Makeovers' outdoor display in Bothwell. Visiting this display also helped us select the colour of paving stone we preferred.On the evening before the work began, John arrived, delivered some equipment and introduced himself, explaining that he would be overseeing the work. I cannot stress strongly enough how hardworking John, Billy, Peter, Josh and Taylor were. On a couple of days, the rain was very heavy but this did not deter them. Each one of the team was polite, friendly and respectful and took great care with our property. Each night the area was hosed down and all the tools and equipment left tidy, ready for use the next day. The team clearly take pride in the work they carry out and this pride is totally justified!Every day, Brian or Scott would visit the team to check on the progress and this visit gave my husband and I an opportunity to ask any questions we had. We were kept informed of what progress we could expect to see at each stage of the makeover and were advised when to expect deliveries etc. Everyone was constantly checking that we were satisfied with the work.As the job was coming to completion, it was evident that the finishing touches were considered very important and this stage was not rushed in any way.The skill of the team, coupled with their committment, made the whole experience outstanding.We are extremely grateful to Brian, Scott and the whole team for creating a beautiful new garden for us to enjoy.Thank youMhairi and Gordon

Scott and the rest of the Garden Makeovers team were were professional from first point of contact to completion of our garden project. Scott came out to assess the work and discuss quotes on 3 or 4 occassions before we got started, communicating clearly along the way. His team were very thorough and worked quickly, leaving the garden in very tidy condition once complete. The work itself is exactly what we were looking for and looks fantastic. We would definitely use the team, again, for any future works.

Brian and the team have just completed the makeover of my garden. I am utterly delighted with it and cannot thank them enough. The team were efficient, professional and extremely hard working. Also a very tidy bunch of workers. The place was spotless when they left.I would highly recommend them. A massive thank you to Brian and the whole team who worked on my garden.

The team totally transformed our garden, making it look sleek and modern. We now have a maintenance free garden to enjoy whenever the sun comes out. High quality workmanship and we were kept informed at all stages of the project. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Like all projects there are always small snagging issues but these were dealt with immediately, very good after service care.

I read the reviews and thought wow what a great company. My experience of them was very different. I approached them in August 2021. They started the grubbing out in Nov/Dec 2021 with the promise that the reinstatement would start in the new year and be completed by beginning of April. I heard nothing so by end of February I made contact, this was to be indicative of the service I received, I always had to make contact to get anything done. Eventually I got a plan - a computer generated image with no information I had to guess what the colours meant. The works cost arrived 30% over budget with no breakdown or explanation. Scott knew the budget but gave no reason for the additional costs, again I had to ask. The attention to detail was poor, site supervision was poor for example two lengths of sleepers were lifted and put back in the same day, by different workers. The steps were changed about three times. The operatives were often hanging about waiting for Scott to tell them what to do, as they had no idea what they were trying to achieve. Any damage they caused was poorly repaired. Much of the work was sloppy and had to be redone, weeks would pass with no operatives attending site. The top soil was very poor quality and certainly did not comply with BSI 3882:2015 which Scott seemed to be unaware of, strange for someone who works on landscaping projects. It has been difficult to plant the beds created as I have to waste time removing stones and rubble. In places the imported top soil is less than 25mm thick and has been washed off in heavy rain.The garden is an Improvement on what was there, but due to poor workmanship by Gardenmakers, a lot of work has been left to me.I can not in all honesty recommend Garden Makovers, maybe I was unlucky, but I saw little sign of customer service attention to detail or professionalism.
