Where do you start... You are only checking here 'cause you got one of their groupons, right? Filthy 'mechanics' filthy workshop and oh yes, your carpets and seats etc will be filthy too when they are finished, 4 hours it took them! Jim, (the boss I think) told me later that they had run out of protective seat covers but could not explain why his filthy 'mechanics' didn't protect my seats some other way??? Got home and soon found puddle of oil on driveway from their 'service' (it's only an oil and filter change by the way. Took it back to find that they had split the old sump plug washer and oil was leaking from it. Good Practice would suggest replacing this washer! Obviously they didn't even check if it had split and was leaking before returning vehicle to me. The guy with the glasses was a bit upset with me for complaining that a new washer should have been used and told me tell some c*** who gives a f***!!!! (nice

I took advantage of ABS Auto Enginerring's Groupon offer of an MOT, service and car wash for £29 and while I worried it sounded too good to be true - it wasn't! The MOT, service and car wash was done while I waited and the staff even put on a DVD for my 4 year old to keep her amused and made me a coffee (after going out for milk for it!!)The guys couldn't have done enough and even fixed the handbrake that Mazda had already tried (and failed) to do! I would definitely recommend this garage and would also use it again without a doubt - cheers guys.

PLEASE USE THIS GARAGE AT YOUR OWN RISK, THEY COULD'VE KILLED ME DUE TO THE STATE THEY LEFT MY CAR IN!!!I used this garage through a groupon coupon for £29 which offered an Mot, oil filter change and a car wash, when I went in my car was running fine, no major problems!! It failed MOT due to the coil spring needing replaced and needed a new tyre, agreed to let the garage do the repair, a new tyre was also replaced. When I left my gear stick was shuddering, and there was a really strange grinding noise from my car, thought it was maybe to do with the spring being changed. After the weekend, was still having the noise problem so called the garage on the Monday, the owner Jim sent over the young mechanic, who drove the car for about 2mins, heard the noise, and said that sounds like the discs and pads, took it back to my house, took off the tyre, winched it up and said yes they needed replaced. The garage quoted £178, I couldn't understand why this wasn't picked up whilst the MOT was being done, plus he said it would take 2 hrs to do, which is RUBBISH, it only takes about an hour to change pads and discs, Jim advised that sometimes when the car has been on the testing machine these things show up afterwards,once again RUBBISH and that he can't advise if it doesn't show up on the test at the time. I called VOSA who advised they should have put an advisory note on the MOT, which they didn't, were going to retest the car, but I declined as I didn't want to end up having to spend more money that I didn't have if other things showed up. I have now took my car to another garage and discovered that the car was very dangerous due to their shoddy workmanship as it turned out the top strip mount bolt was missing, the track rod end was left slack which has destroyed the threads, so needs to be replaced, and the balljoint was loose, basically the car could have come apart due to these mistakes and was in a VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION TO DRIVE. The garage I am now using who my whole family use and I know I can trust, phoned Abs Autos to advise how bad a state the car had been left in but the mechanic Brian who had done the work on it, was cagey about his answers and basically him and the owner Jim are NOT INTERESTED in fixing the problems they have now caused me,and is now costing me over £200 to sort out their mistakes and replace discs and pads. I have told him I am going back to VOSA, he said do what you have to do, NOT INTERESTED in the fact they COULD HAVE KILLED ME with their total disregard for my car or me. I am TOTALLY DISGUSTED by the way they have dealt with my complaint and how they have now caused more damage to my car, but more importantly they could have killed me also!!!! PLEASE DON'T BE TAKEN IN BY THE CHARM, THEY ACT AS IF THEY'RE YOUR BEST PAL, BUT I THINK THEY'RE MAKING SURE THEY GET YOU BACK INTO THE GARAGE SO THEY GET MORE MONEY OUT OF YOU!!! BEWARE I HAVE WARNED YOU!!!

Used this garage today for a MOT and service through the Groupon deal. Was very pleased with the service. Booked in at 12:00 and car was taken promptly, manager was working the office and provided very efficient and friendly service. Car was finished within the hour and MOT outcome was explained very clearly. A minor adjustment that was required was carried out at the time to save a re-test.Would definitely recommend this garage and use it again.
