Unprofessional, didn't know what they were doing, and offered no apology for the distress they caused. I had a terrible experience with this agency back in September - my friend and I were viewing a house and decided we wanted to proceed with the application to rent. We were told to pay the holding deposit alongside submitting the application, referencing etc., which we did. Later in the process we were informed that we were actually competing with other applications for the house! These people were eventually offered the property and we were told we were unsuccessful because the 'landlady chose other applicants'. In my understanding, a holding fee ensures the removal of the property from the market and does not allow other tenants to make applications. It protects the landlord/agency (if the tenant changes their mind), but should also protect the tenant (by reserving the property subject to successful referencing). This situation delayed our search for other properties as we were unable to put down multiple holding deposits for fear of losing them. We were put in an extremely stressful situation, left with nowhere to live and had to pay for temporary accommodation during this time. After both me and my housemate complained to Domlets about the service and how unfair it was to take multiple holding deposits from applicants, we received no apology.

Putting this here as Domlets are trying to brush this under the rug.We asked them for help with a mold situation, they said they would help but instead served section 21 and told to evict so they could repair" mold situation.We got inspector in who said property is fine
