Had a plough man's for lunch service was good and the food came out quickly well presented and value for money although the bread was a little dry well done

Visited today and can only describe the experience as awful! One member of staff who was taking the orders and money can only be described as rude. Her attitude was disgusting. It was busy, I do understand but there was no excuse for the way she spoke to us and the way I witnessed her speaking to other customers. One item from our order when it eventually arrived was incorrect, when she brought the correct item she practically threw it at us but it seemed like it had been a big ask for her to rectify our order. The lady who was making hot drinks was really friendly and smiling when delivering drinks to people and when I informed her the toilets were running out of toilet roll. Next time we will just bring a picnic.

Afternoon tea is soooooo expensive £21 per person !!!!! Def not worth the money as most of it is shop bought .Dry scones cheap scoth eggs shop bought cakes For the money you would expect homemade !!!! X

Open every day (except Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year). Cosy. Very welcoming, friendly and obliging staff. Freshly made food. Child friendly (highchairs, games). Spacious. A second-hand bookshop. Clean loos. Perfect place for lunch and/or drinks after walking round Scolton Manor Park.

Fantastic place to either grab a drink and a slice of delicious scrumptious cake or a lunch time snack or meal......... lots to choose from and all home made cakes..... highly recommended the homemade soup and roll...... warm welcome and service too

Popped in for tea and cake. Carrot cake, scone and jam and Bakewell slice were all very much enjoyed by the three of us. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Went with a regular group, pre arranged visit, to be told the coffee machine wasn't switched on so only tea or instant coffee available, ordered a coffee and got charged £2.50, same price as a cappuccino! Not the first time it's happened either, absolute rip off.

Friendly staff, lots of options available. Lunch bags are a great option with sandwiches etc made to order.
